Wrong. Had the same name since 2009. Check the date under the Avatar. And Roy is the weirdo.

It has been 3 different aliases. The one was something like Denver/Detroit, you followed me around the board for a while and then changed it and changed your lasting message to try make it look like me.

You set it up in 2009 yet spelt it wrong, sounds good weirdo.

Think you need to up your medication pal

“Aside from the brilliant pass...” but yeah. United fans who think Lundstram is doing a good job for us and a good player can’t of ever played.

Chris Wilder? I could have swore I saw him play with my own eyes.

The only two Blades fans in Pittsburgh and they’re bickering like two old women 😂

Not really. He had his name as DenverBlade, he disagreed with me in a thread then changed his to the same alias and began posting like it was me.

Really weird, I messaged Foxy and the administrators to see if there was anything that could be done as I know a good few posters on here who’d think the shit that comes out his mouth is me because of the username.

Oh well, guess some people really don’t have anything better to do.

Here’s the original message.

Fascinating thread this. It's not very often that you get the majority of people on here agreeing on something, but there was almost universal agreement that Lundstram wasn't good enough. And those who held that opinion then had some good reasons for justification. I've never been a big fan of Lundstram - mainly because I believe he looked slow and ponderous and his game seemed to consist of a million very short passes and the occasional misfired long range Hollywood ones. Apart from being physically slow, he's looked mentally slow to me as well. Which isn't a great combination.

This season he's surprised everyone by holding down a place in our first team. He's done very well to take this opportunity and in a few games he's looked a lot more capable and comfortable than he did at any stage before. I think the lad deserves some credit for sticking in there and showing a lot of maturity and improving his game. However, I won't be joining the Lundstram fan club just yet. There have been a few games where he's done really well, but there have been just as many, if not more, where he's been "o.k" but nothing special. He goes missing for large parts of games imo and I'd like to see him really dictating the game before I jump on board the newly departed Lundstram love wagon.

I for one totally anticipated this rise in Lundstramania, and absolutely expected to see his own merch.

That's based on a cigarette packet isn't it? It's going my head in because I can't think which (if it is).

John Player cigarettes?

That's what I thought, but I just can't find a picture with the number in that style, but I'm sure I remember a brand that did and it's doing my nut.

My Nan smoked JP cigarettes for years, the gold and black Superkings packet. Design classic.

Then she moved on to Sky Blues.

I'm getting a bit worried about this , but once again you seem to have reflected my own thoughts almost entirely .

Is he playing better now than than he has ever done before ? Undoubtedly , but let's be honest that wouldn't be hard to achieve .

Has he still got weaknesses in his game ? Yes , he allows players close to him to receive the ball far too easily and then gives them too much time and space .

Are there games in which we would be better served by someone playing in the Duffy role at his expense ? Again yes in my view and the Watford game is one of them , where we should be going all out to get 3 points against a poor side .

It's good to see the improvement the lad has made but the new Patrick Viera or Steven Gerrard he most certainly ain't , so let's keep things I perspective when discussing his overall ability and contribution to the team .

I’m going slightly off topic a bit but I don’t think we could play a Duffy type player at the moment, we’d be far too exposed. Norwood doesn’t have the attributes of a defensive holding player, which, bringing it back on topic, is why I think Lundstram is in the team.

How is Lundstram doing ? He’s doing fine but is unable to carry the ball forward when the opportunity arises. This could of course be down to instruction but I think (not certain) that the idea is that 2 midfielders hold back if the other goes forward.

I’m not too sure he loses the ball more than anyone else to be honest. Only Stevens so far seems to be very consistent.

Agreed but find it strange we signed so many attacking mids in the summer Morrison/freeman and not Centre mids when we’ve played a flat 3 all season

Nobody could have seen lunstram becoming probably our best midfielder and he was probably gonna leave.

I agree and don’t know to be honest. Had a chat with someone at work about January signings and the consensus was what’s the point we’d play the same team anyway ! 🤣

If you could combine Lundstram and Norwood, there would be more scope to include a more attack minded midfielder as you’d have a very well rounded holding player.

I probably sound crazy for saying it, but I can see Lundstram replacing Norwood next season if we stay up. If we go down, I can see Lundstram becoming a bit part player again with Freeman in his place.

It's definitely down to instruction that Lundstram won't carry it high up the pitch. He's very tactically disciplined. There were a lot of occasions against Liverpool where my friend (a neutral) was surprised to see him not bomb up & help Baldock in attack - but when possesion turned over he was in shape exactly where he needed to be to support Norwood.

I had a long conversation with my friend about what we're missing to take the next step, which I suppose is being an accomplished midtable side. A more clinical strikeforce, if our guys don't kick on, is an obvious one. But if we're to continue with the flat 3 we could really do with better all round midfielders, who are good in possession but that also have the physical attributes to get up & down the field for 90 minutes. Players like Romeu at Southampton, & Choudhry at Leicester showed what we need to go up to that next level.
