Our main man for years to come.

Rejoice and behold. The SUFC Simon Francis.

Young lad, leadership qualities.

disagree - we are still not winning games of football.

A CM player has to influence a game where it matters - we don't actually show in midfield where it matters and Lundstram (probably my MOM today btw) will never replace Coutts and is too similar to Fleck, which is where he was bought for.

We still need a ball playing CM player to influence the game in a positive way - Lundy appears to be a nice defensive type player.

But. but . but...........no way did we respect and cherish the lad,

Francis was unprofessional and didn't take his off field responsibilities seriously enough. A big drinker at the time too.

Don't take my word for it, take Simon's because he's said it himself in interview about his time here.

Nice defensive through ball for our first goal

It was a fantastic 50 yard pass to Donaldson and as posted elsewhere he was my MOM - we still had 39% possession.

CM need to effect a game in the oppositions half - not defend a game - but all in all, well done to Lundstram and I don't have an agenda - it's all about the team.

I think he’ll appreciate that but let’s give someone a bit of slack who appreciates a Blades player when needed.

Fulwood Blade will come round to the idea if he continues to play as he does, that’s the impression I get from the posts I’ve read from him anyway.

I couldn’t disagree more with your analysis. He’s much more similar to Coutts than Fleck.

Isn’t football wonderful? :)

Not a problem alco and thanks for not going off on one as SOME of our forum members do.........so what did the flip chart on August 31st in the Bleacher report, have Lundy down as replacement for Fleck?

Think Lundstram has dome much better than expected, but for me his just doesn't link play between the thirds. He does (and it happens a few times in a game) gets caught in possession - as seen again tonight.

There will be at least one ball playing CM player in the JTW - and it won't be Fleck that won't play.

That's all well and good...............do we have such a player? No, so we wait and see in Jan but for now he's the best we've got, and for me does ok.

I agree with you - it is the best we can put out - doesn't mean to say that we can't do better come January.

Our results now and our league position is matching exactly what Barnsley did last season - good start, crap finish. We actually have a JTW that can ultimately change our season one way or another as against the dingles that sold 3 last JTW.

For me we need 2 x CM players that can make a difference in the final third.

Once again we had 39% of possession today when we were generally dominating games home and away previously.

The JTW will bring replacements - 4 in - 4 out according to CW - just hope it's in positions that can have an effect.
