Can't see Ipswich letting him go. They've been playing 5 at the back recently, and the Godfrey signing was mainly to replace Tuanzebe who's injured

He's out of contract in the summer, Ipswich deffo have the means of renewing it if they wanted to but could work in our favour too plus Wilder is fantastic at selling the club to players, I remember Flecky saying after he had a 5 min conversation he was sold on the club and only wanted to join United after talks with Wilder

Think there's a one year option though on the contract this summer.

The comments in the article are interesting from their fans. A few saying he's asked to leave for regular football but he has made their starting team the last few games. Perhaps a loan till the end of the season would be the most like if the deal does happen. Id be surprised if Ipswich want to lose a valuable player in their squad even with Godfrey just arriving.
