Morrison and Rodwell have the pedigree Wilder is trying to sus out whether they have the desire.I was being a bit controversial BB and sticking up for Rodwell. I think he’s a bit better than a ‘punt’. Quality if he can refind his best.![]()
I was very critical of him at the Fylde game. Then I saw his video and was pleasantly surprised at his contribution. Hopefully CWAK can find the on switch in both of them.Morrison not shown through yet and his contract runs out like Rodwell this summer.
Wouldn’t you be saying that anyway? If you’re a L1 player and PL clubs are after you, you immediately tell your club (via your agent) that you either get a move or you want a new contract. A big contract. Or you might get ‘sunburnt’.The issue with what Lambert has said. If he thinks Woolfenden is worth £33million. If I was Woolfenden I would be saying if I’m valued at £33m I want to be paid as such. If not your underpaying me. Sufc will pay me wages like a 3/4m player. If you think I’m worth more you need to pay me the going rate for these sort of players.
For the player to come he gets a big wage increase and joins the premiership. He is one injury / suspension away from making his premier league debut.
If your the player you would be demanding to go as soon as something is more concrete from our side in terms of offers and assurances.
I read that just as the commentator said ‘Maguire’It’s funny how now we’re a Premier League club we’re scoffing at paying over £3m for a League One player, but when we were in League One we would be going ape shit at McCabe selling a promising youngster for that sort of money!![]()
Their isn't much logic in them selling now for that fee if they have confidence in his ability. But if there owner is similar to ours was then it could be a cheap gamble for us and we should take full advantage like clubs did with us.It’s funny how now we’re a Premier League club we’re scoffing at paying over £3m for a League One player, but when we were in League One we would be going ape shit at McCabe selling a promising youngster for that sort of money!![]()
Sounds a bit like Brentford views on Egan.I've spoken to an Ipswich fan today and he is pretty surprised by our interest. Thinks he is currently a very long way from the premiership, though he might develop.
Did say they would and should snatch our hand off at 3 million.
4 million was a steal ,Webster at Brighton went for twenty million.and turns slower than an oil tankerIf the going rate for Egan, an established championship defender, was £4M last summer then I don’t see how a young up and coming centre back in League 1 is worth more than that?
I don’t blame Ipswich for setting the bar high, but I think Mr Lambert is just trying to appease the fans that they won’t sell him for peanuts. That’s fine. Offer them monkey nuts instead and make it “undisclosed” then everyone will be happy!
The more you pay the slower they turn maybe?4 million was a steal ,Webster at Brighton went for twenty million.and turns slower than an oil tanker

Then surely the problem will be solved? But we are spiralling towards a situation where only a few clubs will be able to compete
So he's basically written everything that's already been written and made up a xfer kitty based on alleged values of these players.Well if Sheffield United News is on the ball, CW has a £20m budget, which is way more than I thought it would be
£10m for this Cobbaut fella and that leaves a few bob for The Woolf. I'll go with £4m fee and £1m add ons and 20% sell on clause

Ok.
not sure we will pay £4m for Wolfy upfront, i'd be disappointed in that price for a L1 defender... i'd like to think we can do a deal at £2.5-£3m and nice sell on clause... it will be more weighted in future fees as he has a bright future but an unfinished product at the moment...Well if Sheffield United News is on the ball, CW has a £20m budget, which is way more than I thought it would be
