Club accepted £1.5 (?)m offer from Birmingham, he told Charles Green he wasn’t going.

There was actually even a bit more to it than that.

It had already been circulated around the club that he'd been sold and that it was a done deal. Dane Whitehouse heard about all of this second hand.

Whitehouse promptly stormed into Green's office, and after giving him a severe bollocking, told him not to even  think about selling him without informing him first.

For this reason, among many, Dane stands in joint position with Billy as my all-time United hero.

Loyalty is a more of a complex subject than it first appears.

The life of a footballer is a short career in comparison to most conventional jobs. If a player has the opportunity to further their prospects at a club that can offer them higher success, I don't begrudge them for moving on at all.
Rare is the player who loves the club beyond all reason, with undying devotion (Dane Whitehouse).

Players such as Jagielka, Maguire, Calvert-Lewin, Kyle Walker to name a few all moved on to objectively bigger things. And I'm proud of how they subsequently thrived. Each one of them will always be welcomed with open arms should they ever visit Bramall Lane again, in whatever capacity.

There's a way to leave the club on a positive note, and I can wish them well.

Then you have unspeakable wankpuffins such as Ramsdale, Jug Eared Cunt, Slew and Lundstram who would be nothing without the clubs nurturing and guidance who subsequently spat in our faces and then fucked off in the cuntiest manner possible. I wish those fuckers nothing but failure and abject misery.

So in summary. By all means leave, but please be nice about it.

There's been a select few over the years, but we ve mostly always cashed in on our prized assets.

When this year's kit was released my arse fell through the floor as it instantly reminded me of Deano and Fjortoft, join the dots.... But if we see a contract signed up for Illy (possibly Sander?) and who knows a paid transfer for Doyle with a loan for the 2nd coming McAtee.... You never know!!
The times are a changing...?

If Carlsberg made Transfer Windows

Sir Keith Edwards was sold when he did not want to go. as he said in an interview a few years ago. makes you wonder how many other players were sold behind their backs.
