Dane Whitehouse?
Oi! Basham.Turned down a £25m move to Everton in January to get promoted with the Blades. That's already some going in my book, but if he signs a new deal now he's joined Billy Sharp as the first genuine club legends since Deane
Club accepted £1.5 (?)m offer from Birmingham, he told Charles Green he wasn’t going.I was only young when DW played for us, did he reject chances to go elsewhere?
Yes, he’s a legend in my eyes anyway.I was only young when DW played for us, did he reject chances to go elsewhere?

It's a fair pointOi! Basham.
Leeds wanted to sign him too.Club accepted £1.5 (?)m offer from Birmingham, he told Charles Green he wasn’t going.
I always thought a deal was agreed with Southampton?Leeds wanted to sign him too.
I know it was Birmingham that Green agreed a deal with, Leeds were interested but dont know about SouthamptonI always thought a deal was agreed with Southampton?
Forest?Leeds wanted to sign him too.
Wouldnt surprise me but Bassett probably knew that Dane wouldnt leave usForest?
Who is the media guy that used to make videos for us? Really well liked fella? Black guy, went missing once?
Anyway, weeks and weeks ago he said Ili won't go anywhere as he's too loyal to us![]()
Terence Campbell.
The vlog he did with The Shoreham View:
Like either of those transfers were his choiceBilly "Three Times" Sharp?
Dean Hammond flat out refused to leaveIs there anyone more loyal that we've had than Illi?
(if the news today is to be believed)
Woody did ask to go on a transfer list twice. In summer 1969 and January 1976. During summer 1976 Woody agreed to sign a new contract after Jimmy Sirrel offered him the captaincy and a midfield role.Tonge, Monty, Quinny and Jags all turned down plenty of moves and stayed for a long time. Maguire too. The scale of this is much different though. As a club our players seem to warm to us and almost always speak highly of us often staying longer than they would elsewhere imo. The media don't like us whereas the players do. When they leave it's often a result of being forced out by the board. Never forget Dane Whitehouse, Sir James Hagan or Woody by the way!
Exactly.Like either of those transfers were his choice
He did ask to go on the transfer list in summer 1969Len Badger was another one.
