Harsh. The last time he had any sort of run in the team (and in his actual position) he played well. But then disappeared because he's under 6 foot and Hammond's so brilliant and undroppable.

Really? The one place that Flynn should play is wide, he's not a central midfielder?!?
Yep. Really.

Adkins totally fucked it up today with the substitutions.

We never really got a grip of the game then the sub's were random. I understand why he took Hammond off (booked). But before that, Basham was on right with Coutts behind Done an Sharp in like a 4-3-1-2 formation. All a bit bizarre

Our form was great then wasn't it. :)

Adkins was hampered by the fact that Basham got injured and Hammond had an off day / perhaps isn't good enough for L1. Not sure which it is as far as Hammond is concerned. Worrying !!

We were being bossed in midfield and therefore, with this and the above in mind, I can applaud his decision to try to shake up the midfield dynamic . But on the day, it plainly didn't work !!

Reed is not a winger or wide man but the reality is he has gone backwards in 2 years. Not good enough to affect a game at this level.

Not when played on the right wing with Flynn in centre - mid. Didn't understand that at all.
Does look like an error of judgment by Adkins,Flynn wide right is where he is most effective and giving reed the job of supporting Brayford
for me was a big mistake.Although the left back had loads of space he was kept under reasonable control until the goal both Reed and Brayford were dragged inside either one them should have been ready to shuffle across to mark him ,Brayford did in the end but the left wingback had made too much ground into the box. With Brayford dragged inside it was reeds responsibly to cover the wing back, inexperience cost us as he wasn't aware what what was taking shape.Flynn would have covered that area much better as he does well
in them situations. It was a baffling decision by Adkins and in my opinion cost us the goal.We cannot grumble at losing 2 points as Swindon were on the front foot for most of the game and played some clever football but we looked like we could hang on but no!!.It's 2 points lost but if Swindon continue to play with that kind of quality a lot of teams in the league will find them difficult opponents and could make a charge for the play offs themselves which also would help us.Maybe Reeds nievity cost us but The decision to play him wide right .rests with Adkins in my opinion ,hopefully he's learent something.

Playing a young inexperienced player out of position isn't good enough either.
Very true but Adkins probably told him to support Brayford simple enough!! if he had stuck to what he probably was told to do.The back 4 gets a lot of stick but they are doing a good job just now it's other areas of the pitch we are struggling at times .l wish Adkins would bring in some pace we are desperately short of it.Swindon played a lot of the match very high, the new we couldn't hurt them on the break because we
Lack pace.Mr Adkins are you listening!!PACE,PACE and MORE PACE. (and I don't mean doc Pace what a striker he was not blessed with pace or real skill but a great goalscorer and team player doc & billy Dearden would go through a brick wall for the team) sorry I got carried away with pace on my mind ,dream on

Reedy just isn't up to this right now please get him out on loan Conference or L2
For his sake and ours.

The only time Flynn and Reed have played well was under Clough.
Am I allowed to say that on here?

Well, here we are with the inevitable, poor young lad, he always knew it was coming didn't he, getting slagged by your own fans..

Why not look to the seasoned professionals who are stealing a living, the permanently injured and the useless, you know, those who most of us haven't seen in a shirt since signing a great fat contracts..

Oh... And another thing, maybe the three subs were put on because somebody had come to scout them... Be careful you might get your wish if reed goes, but don't go moaning about it if he does..

I think it's unfair to come to a conclusive decision about Reed based on ten minutes as a sub, out of position.

As someone else has pointed out, the last time he had a good run in the side, he played well on the whole. He is not going to improve by coming on as a sub for the last five minutes and doing so out of position.

Adkins needs to either use him properly, or send him on loan.

I think most fans are blaming Adkins for his decision to play flynn central and reed wide, what is thinking was we don't know but although reed has to take some responsibility the mistake really is Adkins for playing both out of there comfort zone.l have noticed flynn when Coming on in his cameo rolls often is playing more central (maybe Adkins fancies him in a more central roll) in fact he played in the hole in our last under 21s game at the lane (played really well and scored 2 cracking goals) .was Adkins looking to wrestle the initiative from Swindon if so it didn't work and cost us 2 points but having said that Swindon deserved there point and in a full 90 mins were always going to get an opportunity which they took.Wish we had there fluidity and movement off the ball show us up every time we play them.

Reed is a boy trying to play a man's game. He spends all of his time on the field on the periphery, not getting involved.

I simply do not understand why Adkins felt he was a good option for that slot when JCR sits on the bench.

Mind you, JCR attacks full backs. We can't have that can we?

The obsession for JCR, a no mark journeyman is quite ludicrous and shows how bad things are. Zero league assists, fucking zero. Oh no, let's talk about his skill against Notts County, however he still fucked up the cross. Got a coupe of assists against Worcester though :)

Why not put Reed in CM and Flynn on the right, but let's not blame fucking Reed.

He played really well for the first part of last season, right up to the point where he missed that late chance against Spurs which would almost certainly have put us in the final, since then he seems to have lost all form and confidence.

Needs games I think to see if he can regain his former self, the suggestion of a loan out to league two for the rest of the season sounds sensible to me.

Zero league assists is entirely down to the fact that Conor Sammon can't shoot.
