Adam Davies when he sees this thread:
"Hold my beer" 🍻
Not the best half of football from him i agree.
Its funny, we all have views on football but some people think if you are a fan you should never slate a player. Tbh, the one thing that gets my goat in life is people who do not bust a gut when they need to. Cannon for me does not put enough effort in to wear the shirt. If he ran about like he cared I would never have started this thread.

Sadly Davie dropped the beer in his own goal before he had chance to help Cannon out.

My own view, for what it's worth, is they probably do try because they wouldn't have got this far without some effort but it's just not working, and that has an affect on everything they do. Cannon looks lost.

No issue with the thread, at all. It's nice for Sydie Peck to get a break.

But we might as well laugh because it's been grim since April.

There was a stoke fan on TS tonight saying they would like him back as they are short in their strike force and they think he could come back firing

Has possibly his best game for us at Coventry and then doesn't feature for the next game!

Campbell isn’t worried about losing his shirt because the only person realistically can take it is canon. One not ready yet. If we had more at the top of the pitch it might push him on, he needs either a right kick up the arse or an arm round him. Probably both

Campbell doesn't give a toss. When he scored our 3rd against Blackburn he didn't even celebrate

Looking at TC’s goals on YouTube you can see why we signed him as he looked EXACTLY what we need - a really confident proper striker in the Bill Sharp mold. But he has completely lost his confidence, or he left it behind in Stoke.
Now he looks timid. Simple things like charging up to goalies to pressurise them into rushing a clearance - he wanders towards them, slows down and virtually stops a metre or so away. Similarly he doesn’t seem willing to commit strongly to any other challenges to opposition defenders.
Surely the coaching staff should be able to sort that out.
I wonder if he is either hiding an injury or simply afraid to get injured.
Is it all psychological? I know it’s not simple to sort out this type of issue but he’s been with us for almost a year and his confidence hasn’t changed at all in that time. Perhaps Wilder’s approach to problems like this aren’t appropriate but someone else on the coaching staff might be able to flick the confidence switch?
