Can we not afford him as a permanent?

The cautionary notes are his injury record and lack of experience at this level.
The former a bigger concern.

Looks an exciting player, great record in League 1.. but as did JRS who left with mostly negative reviews.

Selles signed him previously which is comforting in some ways. Obviously really believes in him.

Apparently he's a better player than his dad at the same age, but then again his dad is a plasterer from dudley who's never played football

Saw him several times for Stockport and he was excellent.

Is it a loan to buy?

I don't know. I simply have no idea why, if possible, you would ever do a perm deal on a player who is coming off of a significant injury, if you can take him on loan instead and then have the choice if you think it makes sense twelve months down the time. Villa may not want to sell anyway. Regardless, you asking if we can't afford him as a permanent (which we almost certainly can) is odd in the context of things where it is probable that we can do it in such a way that we determine whether this is in fact damaged goods before we hand over the cash money.

Very one footed to the point of never really using his left other than for standing on but one I'd be happy to get done, certainly has the pedigree - would fill that left hand forward spot nicely. Maybe to compete with Oné on tonight's showing?

Tbf though, he was knocking off Sean Bean's missus long before Sean was.

I've seen a lot of his goals, mostly cutting in off the right (bad news again for A Brooks?).

He definitely has dribbling and finishing to his game. I've no idea about the rest of it.
Not saying you're wrong mon capitaine but all the highlights and goals I've seen of his are him cutting in from the left not the right. He's very right footed and played predominantly on the left side of attack for Stockport
