Winger/Am/Striker tore it up for Stockport in League 2 last season and doing so again in League 1 spent a season or two at Barcelona before joining Villa.

Just signed a new contract with Villa so won’t be free but surely won’t be extortionate. Only 21. Next summer will be the one he makes a permanent move somewhere.

During lockdown I ended up coming out of retirement on Football Manager to play a 3-player with mates. Barry smashed them in at Championship and Premier League levels and I ended up paying Villa circa 50mill for him. Completely irrelevant obviously.

Obviously very talented - Barca don't poach players from the Midlands unless they're very handy.

Perhaps he's finally found his groove.

They might sell him, but Villa do shithouse buyback deals so the second the player's value increases they can recall and sell him on. I hate those clauses. Keeps all the power with the clubs at the top and they can continue to hoover up every young talent.

Still looks a little rough around the edges from what I've seen of him, and his hold up play needs work. That said, the lad can certainly finish and looks a natural in that respect. The type in would want us to have interest in and then get the rough edges taken off with hard work with the coaching staff.
