I should heed the lesson of Bash, Coutts & Freeman but I'm gonna put my neck out and say nah, he's actually terrible.

I’d imagine it’ll be all fitness stuff until Slav arrives so I’d think it’ll be left in the hands of the strength and conditioning lads in conjunction with the medical staff/sport science staff. There was plenty of talk in the video about how they were in for a gruelling session tomorrow putting them through their paces.

Seems the most likely answer. Egan has posted a pic of some random scenic field (featuring gaelic football goals, I think) and Fleck appears to be on holiday somewhere sunny with the family. Staggered return is my guess, but who knows.

If he played in a 3-4-3 or a 4-3-3, either way as the wider option of the front three that would suit him much better than a 3-5-2 as one of the central top two. But if we're gonna stick with the 3-5-2 it could be harder and there's other options.

As for the 3-5-2 system as a whole, I'm not a fan after five years if honest. It served us well on the whole, but I do like an old fashioned winger and a 3-5-2 system uses wing backs who are, as we all know, generally full backs who, at our level of recruitment, are not capable of playing as a winger and a full back. So we end up with a full back having to play as a winger when going forward. It then ends up with the full back passing sideways/backways or crossing from deep, neither of which create chances as well as having a winger capable of taking a man on and getting to the byline and pulling the cross back for an attacker which is much harder to defend.

If Robinson thinks he's being hard done too, he can always jack in his career as a professional footballer and join the rest of us in the less privileged real world where most people have to work bloody hard and have very early starts to the day to earn our money.

i very much doubt slav will go 352 he will want to put a marker down with his own system think theres 3 other set ups before that again in any case i agree ive had enough of it its run its course as for burke he has to be out wide in a front 3 for me but i think slav might offload him if he can

Sometimes when I make a meat and potato pie, I go to lift the shortcrust onto the filling and it just rips and I have to squidge it together. That's what his leg looks like.

He has the pace and power but I question his application. Some players hide when the going get's tough, others hold their hands up, get stuck in and demand the ball. What I've seen of him he fits into the former rather than the latter.

Might have been different if he had been a set role, or one position, stay wide right, we will always use that channel as an out ball, or wide left, don't worry about tracking their LB when he attacks, Billy, McB or an other will exploit the gap created when the CH covers you
