Is Wilder known for direct football? I didnt think that was his thing. some of these blind hopeful long balls are dreadful, often over hit, always hopeful but never effective. I hate Direct football but I can see it has its merits, But Christ our attempts at it are very very poor.
I think it could be more the players than the manager though, the CBs, O'Connell in particular seems prone to these "long Balls" and I reckon it could be nerves.
