Thanks as always Roy.

I wonder if Reed has any future with us? Id like to think so but I dare say he wont. Given the last couple of reviews he seems to have grown a lot and always gets positive comments now.

Think we may sell all but maybe Thomas. Think we could get fees other than hanson.which isn't too bad because he didn't cost much.

Couldn't believe how good Reed looked in that video so checked the numbers...9 who looks great, is Kristian Dennis, 25 who doesn't feature over much in the compilation (usually the last past before the good stuff occurs) is Reed!

Reed does some good stuff too, although the clip does make him and Dennis look like those two players in the school football team who only ever pass to each other.

LOL - with the exception of one or two those aren't exactly glowing reports of our players......

I hope we aren't relying on any transfer fee for Hanson in next seasons budget...

It’ll be another loan next season cause no one will match his wages and he (quite rightly) won’t take a pay cut.

Poor signing really, but no manager will ever be perfect in the transfer market.

He added something different to the squad that we didnt have at the time. I dont think signing him was so much as a mistake- it was the 3 year contract. That said, he looked after his interests and nobody can blame him for that. Hold no ill will to him whatsoever- we got over the line, he played a bit part and he’s sorted himself and his family for the forseeable. Worked out for everyone really.

I’ve no problem with Hanson getting a good deal for himself and his family, we’d all do the same in his position.

I just think we would have gone up regardless of whether we signed him or not. We’ve not exactly got a big budget so can’t afford to waste money.

It’s probably nitpicking a bit to be honest as we won the league so who cares. I’ll also admit that I really hate the big lump striker type of player.

Don't forget the Fleetwood home game. We had zero ideas and wouldn't have scored over 900 minutes. Hanson came in after that and took the physical pressure off Billy and allowed the defenders an option to go direct which opened up some more space for everyone.

That little boost pushed us on our way towards that amazing run. He's a very average footballer but I'll always have time for Hanson. Mmmbop

In hindsight we would have gone up without him, I dont disagree. But CW recognised the one “type” of striker we didnt have was a big, strong target man. He went out and covered that base and - as 8lade points out- disrupted a rival in the process. It was good management from Wilder and Hans was in a position of strength bargaining wise. Just one of those things.

Reed is a 21 year old Coutts-type player.

Also look at the way the receiving player takes his passes right in his stride.

Quality.

Encouraging but he needs to be able to do it 2-3 divisions higher. He’s doing it at the bottom of league two after a mixed start. Big ask to go from there to mixing it at the top of the Championship.

He did it at International level,no bother. In amongst the Chelsea, Man U lads. We were in L1. Exceptional he was.

He's always been a good talent, It is his height and strength that's concerning.
