As Billyblade says, it's the job of the 'professional' to provide the incisive commentary, the pundit's job in local radio is to provide more of a fan's view and also add their actual footballing experiences which most commentators don't have.
I'd defy any fan from here to do Sir Keith's job and not come across as mainly negative in the past 10 years. Just read an average day's postings![]()
But that's just it. It's a vicious circle.
There's plenty of room for constructive criticism but instead we get a miserable pointless death spiral of negativity.
Imagine an alternative pundit, with some experience of playing football in the last ten or fifteen years talking about the game from a more up-to-date perspective.
There'd be plenty to say, and it'd be useful.
I learn far more from Bergen Blade about our shortcomings than I do from Keith.
