We haven't played them in the league since 1984, but they are currently top of the Championship. If (!) we go down, I will finally get to visit Sincil Bank and an away day in Lincoln. #tryingtofindapositive
 



You could have gone in 2000 when we played them in a League Cup 2nd Leg match.

Shouldn't bet on it mate.

We'll be in tier 9 by then and you'll require a Covid passport to wipe your own arse.

Getting to Lincoln will be similar to what Robin Hood encountered.
 
Before covid, we’re at that point where you start looking at what new grounds we might be getting at next season but just cannot see it for the next couple of seasons

some of us have :)

I seem to remember the away end was some poxy wooden stand behind the goal - about 2 people deep !

Anyone else remember the stand? - well, hardly a stand - some sort of small wooden structure probably with a felt roof!

Went there twice in the 83-84 season. Keith Edwards scored a free kick in the league game, won 2-0. I can’t remember the FA Cup result. Got some top boys as well, the Lincoln Transit Elite, always used to kick off there like at Grimsby. By the time we get back to the matches, the hooligans will be fighting each other on hover boards like in Back to the Future 2.

We beat them one nil in the Cup, a last minute header from Stan The Man if I am right!
 
Went there on a Wednesday night in Sept 1982. Blade fan Gordon Hobson had given them the lead just before half time. During half time I was leaning on a crowd barrier watching Blades fans running towards Lincoln fans and one of them running was my Uncle Ronnie so I grabbed his arm to say hello to me. He was startled to see me there as he knew that I had stopped going to matches regularly because I was playing football on Saturdays. He didnt know what to say to me but realising that I shouldnt have stopped him running I then told him "off you go" so he carried on running to the Lincoln fans!
 



Lincoln City beat a full strength Burnley 1-0 at Turf Moor only a couple of years ago.

Noone will be going to any away games for a good few years sadly.

Lincoln is a top day out, the train line there goes through Darnall and Woodhouse too, so very handy to go with BR. Done it a few times over the years, either gone supping with the bird, top day out, or took little for a day out there, Castle, shops that type of thing, that's a top day too. Only realised the last time I went that there's quite a few boozers at the other side of the Castle, noted for future reference.

I've only been once to the ground, that cup game in 1984, I think we drew 1-1, then as someone else has stated Stan the man scored a last minute winner in the replay at the Lane. The one time I went I was in the stand behind the goal. I think around that time we played at least 4 times at Sincil Bank, the two league games 82-83 and 83-84, the FA cup game and we played them in something like the Group Cup at the start of the 82-83 season, if I remember correctly Keith Waugh broke his collar bone in that match???

I have been told it can get a bit naughty (#dannydyer) with Lincoln, mate of mine, former Blade and Mansfield, now Rangers, told me they had fun and games there with Mansfield a few times.

Bert was once returning from foreign parts.
He got on an earlier train than he had booked at Sheffield.
The conductor chucked him off at Darnall. He had to spend an hour there with suitcase and suntan waiting for the next train.
He went to a cafe. Darnall is not a nice place.
 
Lincoln away was my first ever away match, probably round about 1984, memory has faded, but I remember it was a night match.
