Light show

It’s the sort of thing I can live with, like any intro music we choose to have I can tolerate it.

Goal music though we’ve pleasingly seemingly ditched forever. One of the best club matchday decisions in recent years.
But why do we play the same song twice? Spent all the money on separate breakers for each of the lights for the show?

We have to move with the times or get left behind , kids love this type of thing so that's it .I understand how Hodgy feels but he will remember the sixties when pigs were leaving us behind with the media antics ,we kept with it now it's our turn to forge ahead
taking the next generation is important.
I'm all for moving ahead with improvements, but not every development is an improvement. If that happens regularly, people will get bored with it, and I did feel it deadened the atmosphere - it turns us into passive observers rather than the creators of the atmosphere. Would be fine at the last game of the season, after the game, for a party. But for me, not before a big match. If there is popular demand, fine - if you lot are all watching the show, it'll be easier for us refuseniks to get a beer!

I could see both sides of the argument, but it was right decision because I haven't missed it & was only you saying now has reminded me that we once had it

I don't like it, simply for the fact it put's me at a nervous disposition. Too many flashing lights etc, something i've never liked.

I'll prop up the bar whilst these things go on, i'll not complain.

I have no problem with the concept, its not for me, it's for the kids and the daytrippers so do what you want for the next generation, I have a problem with the execution though.

It's just lights going on and off. For me lightshows are colourful, get some gels on the lights, get a big projector on the South Stand and project video onto the pitch etc

Then it's a lightshow. It still won't be for me but it'll at least be impressive.

Cheesey as f*ck but I see the value in doing it at the same time. Personally it makes my skin crawl!

Im not sure if im in minority but I heard bad things about the light show but I thought the spectacle as a whole was pretty great. how music & film on the screen was synced up to the light & blasts of fire. almost gave it the feel of a heavyweight boxing ring walk. could've been tacky but it was done very well.

& blast of fire came in very handy on 3rd row, meant i didnt need my gloves 😁

It was a bit too busy to notice how well it was all synced and the volume needed tweaking to hammer it home too, would be much more popular if tighter and more obviously synced. Otherwise, people have too much to concentrate on to realise/'feel it'.

I was quite passionate on the issue and kept being told that it was “for the kids”. It’s a pity that since we got rid of it that no children have been seen enjoying themselves at the Lane...

I do fundermentally agree with you Hodgy saw the lights at the Sunderland cuptie ! didnt get in to see it last night.
We have to move with the times though as we have fallen behind in recent times in division 1.

No ones mentioned the fire bins and global warming.
We might just have got away with it.

Could bring it back, play it when goal goes in, and then play funeral dirge when VAR disallows it.

Meanwhile at The Sty, pre-match, there's a little man flicking a torch on and off.
Although rumour has it,they're saving up for one of those bulbs that slowly changes colour.

Not a patch on this though is it? 🤔

How gullible can people be. The power to illuminate those phones was payed for by their owners or another source, not by the Tunaman, rip off, using the fans and their cash to promote his own ends. More disgusting was the bullying of supporters to stand to a foreign national anthem for his king, who has nothing to do with Britain, they should have walked out. Assume they didn't play the British national anthem, which would have made it some what acceptable. Deluded a'int half of it , brainwashed seems more apt.

Saw the light show against Sunderland and again last night it’s alright I suppose I’ve no issues with it.

I have to say as well the floodlights didn’t seem as “over bright” on the Kop as they seemed when sat in the South Stand, whether that’s because there aren’t as many on the Bramall Lane stand opposite or if they have adjusted the angle downwards a bit I don’t know.

Anyone in The South Stand last night who was at the cup games notice any difference?

Would be much better if it happend during injury time of every game.

I thought it looked pretty epic tbh and im a no nonsense sort of bloke

I found it corny as fuck but did try to recreate for the missus by flicking light on and off and whistling along when I got in.

Mrs ISC was fast asleep in the Land of Nod, so that would have had a particularly dramatic effect for her...

... and the night in the shed wouldn't have been too bad for me after a great night at the Lane.

Didn't mind the light show...….but I do have sympathy for anyone towards the back of the JSS .....that bloody band of advertising continues to flash on and off throughout the game..

You don't notice it from the BLUT.... but in the JSS its more than annoying
