One note of optimism was the burst of speed from Coutts down the right. Given the speed and overall fitness he's shown recently is there a chance we could have Hammond doing the donkey work and Coutts creating centrally?

I'm sure Hammond will manage looking like a donkey without any effort.

The disappointment for me yesterday was not the result, it was the tactics and performance.

well I said out of the blue theres flat performances that defy the claims of greater effort
look at man utd
a billion pounds worth of talent , but looked flat clueless and disjointed against southampton

and our team isnt a twentieth of that talent on paper , so we will give flat performances
thing is we arent the only club
Coventry were obviously off the boil on saturday and walsall and burton

it was the manner of the draw.. it was amateurish and reflects everything you need to know about our shambles of a club in a nutshell.

weve been here many times before , theres always flat games where the team fails to function ,
all teams do it, teams better than us teams worse than us , have good games where passes seem telepathic and games where they look like theyve never seen each other before
but footballs always been like that
you go with renewed vigour and they dont turn up , letting you down one day
then go expecting little the next game and for no apparent reason it looks 100 times better

we can play awful and get a point
be brilliant and lose, so you have to accept they wont be in sync every game
I realised this after 45 years of watching it,
the last 10 I go with lower expectation so I dont get sodisappointed

The problem is though that nothing will change after Summer. We are hoping that we get rid of all the high paid player's who aren't performing. We will still be signing massively overpaid players, as can be seen with Brayford, Sharp and Hammond. For some reason this club just do not seem to learn from anything they have previously done
