I can’t see us getting a result at Burnley so I’m resigned to the play offs and everyone knows all about them! IF we were to be successful we’ll need buy that many players to stand a chance of staying up that it could cost us far more than the reported £100 million windfall most teams get and that’s what the PL has become but how could you not aim for the top? Win one draw one lose one to finish mid table isn’t what it’s all about.

That was 5/6 years ago. We had an unorthodox approach back then that caught a lot of Prem teams off guard. The following season they figured us out and we duly got relegated. Since then Wilder lost his confidence to go at teams adopting a more conservative style of play instead.

I don't like admitting it as Wilder is quite rightly a legend at the club. I just think if we have ambitions of taking the club to the next level we need to start looking at more forward thinking managers.

we don't have the resources for Premiership survival. Don't think our new owners have the financial resources. Think considering many thought we would be mid table or relegation material this season. Wilder has performed miracles with resources available to him, how many players did we lose at the end of last season, just as worrying how many will we lose at the end of this season. The Prince acknowledged he didn't have the resources for this club including being in the championship. the journey might not have been good all the time, but we are having a ride. Hopefully the owners being businesslike, have done an analysis, and setting up a plan for the next couple of seasons and longer. Think they have been pretty fair with ticket prices.
