E petitions to get a debate in parliament are never given 5 minutes of get this shite out of the way chat then binned. Ever.

I don't understand the rush some fans have to have limited capacity crowds. As a non local non season ticket holder I wouldn't have a chance anyway but if I did? I'd give it a miss.

Are we going to have a conversation with emojis? 💩

We already are doing. Ask Hancock.

Oh, that guy:

The fact nearly every EFL club on social has backed this including Prem clubs means it'll get more attention and scrutiny.

And for the poster above saying about public health. There are ways to keep this safe but you carry on living in your house under house arrest until this virus goes....it won't go FYI.

I think I’ll sit this season out to be honest. A half full Bramall Lane, with everyone shouting with masks on, watching us get beaten and only (hopefully) witnessing 1 or 2 shot on target. No thanks.

Sheffield is about to get locked down due to the covid numbers being fudged by 'excel gate' but it would be good to see fans elsewhere at the very least

EFL need a bail out like the national League. I see sheff uni is stopping face to face teaching due to a spike. We will have more distribution not less coming.

Piss easy solution.
If everyone wears those masks that look like faces (not to be confused with faeces) to get in, then whip em off once in your seat, who'd know?
There's a business opportunity there too. ;)

Without wishing to turn this off-topic and political...Germany and France are showing us ways to do this safely. The virus will remain and suppressing it via lockdown and restrictions won't make it go away. But, I appreciate there are other schools of thought.

Yes with sterile more than half empty stadiums. If that's your thing then fine.. but it's not a return to normal. Far from it.

Some real small minded mentalities.

I'm genuinely surprised how many people nationwide are happy to risk so much wreckage over this.

I can only surmise a good proportion of them are unaffected other than being concerned about the virus.

What's happening simply isn't proportionate.

How many jobs lost short term and how many communities affected long term by no fans this season.

We simply can't just keep expecting bail outs to so many parts of society for so long. It will have to be paid back.

I find this post a bit puzzling. Would you still attend if the stadium was half full, we were getting beaten and were struggling to get many shots on target but there was no virus?

If everyone who attends use common sense and follow the guidelines given, I see no problem with it. Of course however as with anything, hopefully a few bad apples don't spoil it for everyone

Genuine question, probably without a right answer, but you're talking about "risking wreakage" and things not being "proportionate" - what's a bigger risk, letting communities be torn apart by losing their football teams or letting communities being torn apart by risking further deaths from the virus?

If a load of scruffy lefties can turn up en-mass in city centers causing havoc and not social distancing when they feel like it, then surely football fans should be allowed to turn up to back their team in a third full ground in a socially distanced manner.

COVID-19 doesn't show up to certain protests.

This isn't a political issue, and even if it was, this forum isn't the place for that kind of discussion.

I wish people wouldn't get all tribal and make it an us vs them argument.
