Let killa go.

maybe he wouldn't but he'd try and play with a severed leg!

why are people having a go at killa here? the lad was injured and couldn't carry on. were many having a pop at walker when he went off with a similar injury last week?

strange that some people on here think they know more than the qualified physio!

If he was a true Blade he would have cut his leg off from the knee, stitched his thumb there in it's place and played on you know nowt.
I've seen Steve Middleton do it loads of times:thumbup:

The lad had done his ligaments, I can't see how he could be expected to play on.

I think he wants to go and we should get as much as we can for him but I don't think that had too much effect on what he did tonight.

And let us not forget the almost certain goal that Killa prevented earlier on in the game.

they tried to exploit it straight away, it was ridiculous of blackwell to try and leave him on, especially when the physio had signalled he should come off. looked horrible, his foot bent backwards on itself looking at the replays.

If Blackwell knew Bennett was coming off , several players would have been struggling in the second half he maybe wanted to get to half time and assess his options. He did however become the rabbit in the headlights again and didn't move players around to cover left back.

My point was more Kilgallons perceived glee at having to come off ,he really doesn't want to be here ,that is so obvious and I for one will be glad to see the back of him.

Apart from that Henderson was massive tonight a complete opposite who showed true character after missing a couple of chances ,he single handedly dragged us to a result ,a real man and a Blade.

Too right. And Walker couldn't have been that bad if he's back in this week - hats off to the lad for playing.

IF you've done something serious then you usually know about it and you know you can't run it off like you can a kick. For all the time he was down and then receiving treatment we should have had a plan ready for if he needed to go off.

Killa - doesn't want to be here and has said that to the powers that be since the end of last season. However he is still playing for the club and trying to play well - and he is playing as a left back at the minute. All of a sudden the shit games he has are on purpose and previous to this he never played shit and was the best centre half since Beckenbauer.

Get real and get off his back until the clubs does what is should have done ages ago and sells him.

i agree about hendo, colossal performance. but why would killa take any delight in getting subbed? he's in the shop window on sky tonight and if he wants to leave tonight was a good chance to impress. to suggest he couldn't wait to come off is bang out of order

"if blackwell knew bennett was coming off...." - i didnt even realise he knew that bennett needed to come off, even so, he shouldve subbed him if the injury was that bad. as for killa, the physio signalled it was a substitution situation.... it was fucking unprofessional of KB to ignore that.

"perceived glee"??? - he was bloody wincing!!! i think youre imagining that sits

UTB

Perceived glee maybe pushing it ,but the greedy bastard doesn't want to be here ,never has done in my opinion. I can't stand the bloke ,he is a very average championship centre half with a spray tan and an effeminate taste in clothes and cars ,who thinks he's some glamorous italian gigolo off Dream team. All decent centre halves have craggy scarred faces ,legs lke tree trunks and are called Frank or Reg or Bernard ,not fucking Matthew and Claude.

Oh and he's a Leeds fan, the big wanky girl.

Not a fan then?

Some are called Chris the Elbow

I guess if there's anything we learn from this thread it's that if you're the current boo boy every single thing you do will be seen negatively. I guess if he'd broken something you'd still find something to have a go at him.

Sounds more like Ashley Ward.

He didnt even want to see through till half time, he don't want to be at this club.

Thats clear enough now. Get as much as we can for him i say.

I felt sorry for him, the physio clearly thought he should come off and he was useless for those four minutes hobbling around like an old man. Did it really take Delboy that long to get those long legs out?

Joke thread. All speculation and fishwives chatter about his attitude. His shitty attitude saw him run full length of the pitch earlier in the first half and put a challenge in that stopped us going one nil down. Had that gone in we could well have collapsed at that point. Doesn't matter though does it, because he obviously isn't loyal to the cause. Lad could well have torn ligaments. I wonder how many on here would/could have carried on?

Personally I thought Blackwell was a cock for keeping him on when the physio had clearly said to take him off. If he's injured he is injured.

Couldn't agree more. Kilgallon says he can't go on. Then the physio confirmed that. He should have been off immediately, not left to struggle on. His attitude/loyalty and all that other garbage are irrelevant at that point. He's injured, so take him off.

Blackwell looked like a rabbit trapped in the headlights at that point, actually.

I don't understand the criticism of the injury. It looked like a combination of a bad lunge and jarring the ankle as he landed. I've had plenty of ankle injuries and you just can't run them off, the ankle feels like it going to give way at any minute. I could sort of understand blackwell trying to get him through to HT but come on, if a qualified physio is saying the injury is too bad to continue surely you listen to him.

Killa would have been hammered by the fans and KB if he stayed on but a goal came due to him not been able to get a tackle in/pressure the opposition.

On another note - how did that dirty fecker who stamped on walker's back stay on the pitch, and how did walker get booked for it?

Any thought that Del wasn't ready, given that he was not expecting to play, and given his injury that it might make sense to give him a few seconds to stretvh properly before hiiting his first game in over a year. Not your normal straight substitution. Killa was walking without a limp by the time he got past our goalposts - not saying his ankle could take the stress of a fast turn but it did 'ease' quite quickly after leaving the pitch. Folk did cover, perhaps he did not like playing when he was not fully fit and could make mistakes, didn't want to be the cause of a loss. In reality it was not a long delay and not sure why all the panic; but nobody knows what was actually said on the pitch..

I don't know if the Sky cameras picked it up, but Davies was certainly a forerunner for coming off at that stage. Every opportunity he could he was down on the floor trying to stretch his thigh and was certainly in a lot of pain.

I don't think you can have a go at Blackwell or the managerial staff for trying to wait when they had a fair few injuries on the field that are hard to assess quickly.

But by the same measure, if you've ever done your ankle, you know how painful it is... so I wouldn't have a go at Killa for being slightly annoyed at being put in this position either.

Done my feet and ankles to death as anyone who plays (or used to in my case) regular. You know yourself once it has gone and when you can/can't apply any pressure to it. Having pulled and torn ankle ligaments, tearing them is as bad as any break.

As for Blackwell he should have played the last couple of minutes of the half with 10 men. Better doing that than taking a chance of putting a player out for the season. Whats his worth to someone when he is injured?

Get em in at half time and reassess. Its not rocket science.

Bad management from a man who while I still believe he should be given the season I am starting to wonder about his judgement.

>not fucking Matthew and Claude
presumably not rio (ferdinand) or ricardo (carvalho) either then.. he didn't get player of the year for 'nowt you know.. i've picked up some of your toys.. you want 'em back?

What disappointed me most was after both Killa and the physio clearly demonstrated to the bench that he needed to come off, the Sky camera cut to blackwell who just stood and stared back, hands in pockets like he had no clue what to do. Any sort of decision/managment would have been appreciated, but he did nowt. That looked really poor to me.

I agree with Bladesway, should have played the last 5 mins with 10 men and reassessed at half time.

Killa should have displayed a bit more respect though in my opinion or simply stayed off the pitch, if he was so bad why go back on just to mouth expletives at his manager.
