Yes there is a 'gay community' but it isn't 'fenced off' - you don't have to suck a cock to buy a drink on canal street you know? Up until the mid 20th century being gay was illegal. Gay marriage is still illegal within the UK. While things are better than ever before, I still have more rights and freedoms than my gay friends and that is wrong. There are plenty of attitudes out there (as threads like this show) that mean there is a need for groups like stonewall to campaign for gay rights.

Ultimately being part of a 'gay community' and wanting to be treated equally in society are not mutually exclusive.

Nothing wrong with that at all, what I don’t agree with though is the way the left propagand their way into every nook and cranny like they have the final word on everything.

As I said right at the beginning, the campaign by Stonewall is one for gay rights. It is not a solely left wing project. LGBTories are prominant at most gay pride events as an example.

You say there is nothing wrong with the campaign (thus agreeing with the premise that there is a need for it in football) or the theory that gay people should be treated equally in society - yet still find the need to politicise and criticise this campaign?

No they're same as racist's there's no room for them in today's society, they can go and live in Chechnya where they seem to think it's fine to round up "gays" and take them to torture camps to torture and murder them in 2017.......this is exactly why we call ourselves a "community" because believe it or not we still live in a world of bigatory, ignorance and pure hatred, and any form of acceptance from public bodies, organisations, sports and recreation breaks down those barriers and educates people whom may have been ignorant through no fault of their own but by their up bringing.

I find it quite ironic that you use the term 'Christian nutters', yet don't use the term 'Muslim nutters' to denounce those who wish to see homosexuals killed and have actually made it illegal to be a homosexual in many of their counties....unlike Western Christian nations or these Britain First 'Christian nutters' who as far as I'm aware don't hold any of these views or practices.

Exactly. We’re progressing just fine but some countries are still stoning people for being gay, like you say maybe their concern should focus to a more extreme ideology rather than a minority of lairy lads at a football game.
