We beat Blackburn 5-0 on a very rainy day. Woody, Ford, Reece, Colquhoun and Dearden the scorers. Ted had the chance to make it 6 with the penalty but he blasted it high into the Kop! Blackburn's keeper, Roger Jones, made several saves to keep the score down. The ref was Norman Burtenshaw who was to ref the Liverpool v Arsenal 1971 FA Cup finalGood call that Silent. I thought when i read the original post that it was Ted that scored. I also think the following week we beat Blackburn 4-0 at BDTBL and Ted missed a penalty. I thought at the time how important it was for our promtion push that if he was to miss a pen then it was better in a game that we were going to win easily rather than one when it was necessary to rescue a point.
