Good call that Silent. I thought when i read the original post that it was Ted that scored. I also think the following week we beat Blackburn 4-0 at BDTBL and Ted missed a penalty. I thought at the time how important it was for our promtion push that if he was to miss a pen then it was better in a game that we were going to win easily rather than one when it was necessary to rescue a point.
We beat Blackburn 5-0 on a very rainy day. Woody, Ford, Reece, Colquhoun and Dearden the scorers. Ted had the chance to make it 6 with the penalty but he blasted it high into the Kop! Blackburn's keeper, Roger Jones, made several saves to keep the score down. The ref was Norman Burtenshaw who was to ref the Liverpool v Arsenal 1971 FA Cup final

Bryson got a winner at Oakwell once very late on ,my only ever pitch invasion.

Deano v Port Vale May 1990, A Mike Ford own goal to beat Oxford April 1990, and John "wind him up and let him go" Francis v Brighton in 1989.

All last minute...

Bryson's goal was a penalty, after Francis was brought down in the area by David Currie. Bradders had given us the lead, only for Steve Agnew (remember him?) to equalise with about 5 minutes left.

We had the indian sign over the Dingles, and last minute or late winners seemed to be obligatory against them - even when we went down in 1987-88, Tony Phillskirk scored a winner in the match at Oakwell,

and Tony Agana got the winner in the return at BDTBL.

Who can forget the 2 in the last minutes against the dirty in the worthy cup at BDTBL after been 1 nowt down for most of the match, think it was a jags special and a wizard Peter Ndluuuuurve tap in ........ the dirties were that mad the they began trashing the seats in the BL upper tier, it was just mayhem in the kop, it was unbelievable

Two very late goals deep in added time turned out costing us very near:

9/8/08 - Kevin Phillips winner for Birmingham to give them a 1-0 win. Had that ended 0-0 and all results stayed the same, we would have got automatic promotion.

I remember being absolutely gutted at the time, but eventually cheered myself up by realising there was a long season ahead and 1 dropped point was unlikely to matter by May...
It did

No it was Woodward and Hemsley (pen)

Glaring errors like this make you wonder if Darren just makes it all up!

Just to contribute to the thread, Bristol City away 4/5 years ago, we were 2-1 up then they equalised in the last minute... Then right from kick off we went straight down the other end and scored (Henderson)

Oi!

The Bristol City game was on 28/11/09.

Something similar happened at Wolves on 21/9/96. White put us one up with about 1o mins left and they equalised right on full time. Deep into injury time, Katchuro scored his first goal and a real belter it was.

It happened against us at Walsall on 29/11/80. We were 2-0 and then 3-1 up and then Walsall got it back to 3-3. Just on 90 mins Bob Hatton gave us what we thought was the winner. Walsall kicked off and the defence parted like the proverbial Red Sea as they sauntered through to equalise.

Had we won that game, we would have already been safe going into the return fixture against Walsall.

Not a winner, but Andy Gray's penalty equaliser at Highbury after the randomly disallowed Danny Culip goal was the most mental I've ever gone in the last second of a match. Until Tuesday night that is!

22/10/11: Some bloke getting one for Orient to give them a 1-1 draw after Simonsen mesed up. Had we won that game we would have gone into the last game of the season ahead of Wednesday and would almost certainly have gone up.

Two others I can think of from that season as well:

03/03/2012: Oldham get a last minute penalty to win 3-2, having been 2-0 down...

21/04/2012: Wednesday get a winner vs Carlisle 6 mins into added time, the day we lose to MK Dons
