6 months in Saudi would stick up to 6m in the bank ,no brainer really 🤷

If anyone thinks Kyle is a realistic target, they are deluded. He has 2 families to support.
He could earn mega bucks in MLS or Saudi.
Nostalgia doesn't pay the bills
He wouldn't earn megabucks in the MLS. Saudi is obviously a different story.

He's been paid £200k per week by City for the past 4 seasons and was probably on £150k per week before then. I know people get used to a level of outgoing matched to their incomings but he should be more than capabel of supporting his various dependents on a net £5,000,000 per year.

Well he must be deluded too then as he has stated several times he wants to come back.

I fear it’s a bit like saying one would love to go on holiday with the extended family. The words come out easily over dinner, but when push comes to shove…

Lads worth over 25m don't think 2 families is a problem

Did you see the settlement he’s agreed with his mistress?
That’s before his divorce…which will be even more.
His earning ability is about to come to an abrupt halt in the next three years unless he goes into Management, and I don’t see that being a likely career path for him.

So once he’s handed over millions to his wife in divorce, continued to pay for his mistresses kids for the next 18years on top of that you may be surprised how quickly his wealth vanishes if he’s not been extremely savvy before now and invested and prepared.
And let’s be honest…given his personal choices over the years which we know about that also seems unlikely.

More likely he’s spent huge sums on designer gear, flash motors, expensive holidays and a general over extravagant lifestyle and will look to continue that.

He’s bought half of woodseats amongst other places as a property portfolio. He’s more than prepared

He's heavily into property development, even with divorce and the upkeep of his 6 Kids ,he will never be short .I wouldn't have him back though we've moved on .

Sounds like he’s gonna soon have a quarter of it then….hope it generates enough income to cover the ongoing maintenance for his estranged families.
It may do like…just making it clear he has to handover half what he’s generated during marriage plus ongoing costs to keep his wife and kids in the manner to which they are accustomed.

He hasn’t been the one identifying & choosing his investments. He won’t have a problem when he stops earning from football.

I think he'd definitely choose us over any other offer on the table, regardless of how much money others might offer to throw at him.

Don’t be so sure. His wife is taking him for around £15m. £400k/week in Saudi will be very tempting to get his bank balance back to where it was in a relatively short time

A bit of a pipe-dream this. It's a story that has lingered and some Blades actually imagine it's likely to happen.

With a once in a lifetime offer does anyone seriously imagine that Walker will turn his back on the Saudi offer?

All negotiable and she's not divorcing him at the moment

Imagine we go up and bring in Walker and Maguire to compliment Burrows and Ahmedhodzic.

Along with Cooper that would be a defence to keep us up and beyond.

Someone on here must know him. Give him a quick call xx

Maybe he’d go to Saudi after a season or two with us? Doesn’t necessarily have to be the other way around.

He doesn’t have to be fit to play in the Saudi league, but he would need to be to play for us (decent chance it being in the PL).

We can always pay him in pigeon pie.....
just saying like

Are the Saudi clubs still spending big? The summer transfer window seemed to be much quieter.

He might not even get an offer from Saudi.

Indeed he has. But I’m guessing his off field stuff might have changed the finances of it for him.

I don’t doubt he’d like to come, but it might come down to numbers.

His contract with Citeh runs to June 2026. If we paid a small(ish) fee for him and he asked Citeh to pay up his contract, we could sign him on a short term contract (say 18 months). That way, he’d be getting his full contract from Citeh plus whatever we could afford to pay him.
At the end of 18 months if we’re in the PL we could offer him a longer contract, if not he could go to Saudi.
Simples. 😎

That’s all well and good saying city pay him up, but they then still need to pay a replacement and possibly a fee too.
If he’s on 200k a week that’s £16m for rest of his contract. If he can negotiate half that for early release he’s well down and at best we could afford to pay him £40k a week!
Not sure he can throw that money away so it starts to be wanting city to pay more and then still find a replacement on top.
They’d be better off keeping him unless something gives.

Now I love this club but I doubt I’d be giving up on the sums likely involved.

They’d only way I see Walker coming to us is once his contract is up somewhere.
Loan maybe an option I guess but again I bet plenty of clubs would be able to pay a larger portion of salary than us so would have to hope city are prepared to just write off a chuck.

Think it's mainly 1 Saudi club (that one that Ronaldo plays for) that are spending more than rest, but there seems to be less money in Saudi than there was last year.

The way it seems to be going, I imagine the Saudi league will end up like the Chinese Super League where it just loses it's appeal eventually.

I'm not sure there's a lot of money in the MLS either, especially not compared to the other American sports.
