Totally agree. He's played like a man possessed this season. The penny probably dropped in that he was on the verge of getting bombed out and would never be at such a big club again if he didnt buckle down, lose the late nights and the ale outings, and got in with trying to fulfil his potential. Well done to the lad. He now deserves his contract extension.
 
I think he's genuinely passionate about the club. Scored some important goals for us and did well to force himself back into the team.

Not many of our players have songs anymore but he's one that definitely deserves one. Shown just as much as brayford

...including the beard. That and the shorter haircut make him look far more fearsome - and he is!
 
I thought he should have been playing last season, it was completely unfair to drop him in favour of Brayford.
 
Thought he struggled today as did Lafferty due to Northampton making it difficult for us to get in behind. But took his goal well. Coutts provided that bit of quality we needed just one time and it was enough. UTB
 
He had a superb second half the other day too. Really happy that he got the winner today.He deserves a lot of credit how he has got his head down and worked his socks off to get in the team, and is now an important member of the team. Hes technically a very good footballer, if you watch him when he has the ball at his feet.

If only he had the back up of a "proper footballer";).
 
What I like is that he gets himself in there. All his goals have been in or around the 6 yard box. We put some great balls in the box and across goal and sometimes there's no one in there.
 
As I have said befire I am not the biggest fan of him or Lafferty, however, he is proving me wrong, credit where its due, he has scored some important goals, never doubted his endeavour, always tries, well done kieron.
 



He was decent last season until he was bombed out when Brayford got fit.

You can tell it means a lot to him to play for this club, he's had a nomadic start to his career but he's still young enough to knuckle down and have a good career, hopefully with us if he keeps improving.

Always liked him. Regardless of position all footballers should realise you can't win games if you don't score goals. He's always in and around, looking to either get on the end of something or be an option. Always positive in everything he does as well - throw ins being a prime example.

Glad he's getting his rewards.
 
Got to be honest. Thought he was caught out once or twice defensively first half but credit where it's due, he was in the right place right time today. Of late I don't think the fullbacks have been getting in the box enough ( Though I appreciate that's not easy when the oppo play 4-4-2). Second half Northampton had no ambition to win the game really and though it's tough going at times we are eventually breaking teams down. Top of the league but we are there to be shot at now. Total faith in Wilder. Keep it up Blades!
 
Great to have these threats across the pitch as well. After holding solid for most of the game, up pops a wing back in the box to smash home a winner. Big credit to Wilder for the tactical changes that led to it, and well done Freeman for turning things around in his career at the Lane.

It was Basham who was struggling in the first half ,Paul Anderson had him in knots and was creating problems until Freeman came back to help out and they never really threatened from then on. Good player ,I told my mates I was having him first goal today but the fucking queue was too big at the kiosk so I left it :(

Aye, playing wingback you're allowed to be caught up field. It's up to the right sided centre half to step across and cover.

He marked Anderson at two set pieces and lost him both times in the first half, one of which Anderson got his head to. Quite possibly he could have been Bashams man in open play. 20/1 for the first/last goal. I had him anytime at 6/1 ;)
 
Proof, if proof were needed that all defenders should not have floppy hair.
