People keep comparing him with mcburnie but big difference between the two is one is a target man which wilder wants, mcburnie wasn't that...
I think where they differ is Moore has more pace than McBurnie, I don’t think either of them are particularly confident in front of goal, or could be described as natural finishers.
Anyway, McBurnie is history, he didn’t want to sign, so we got Moore. Who, in my opinion, works hard and puts in a shift, but needs to be far more aware of what’s going on around him. He did great to latch onto that through ball late on, held the ball up well, turned and just kicked it straight at the keeper who by that point, was a yard in front of him. All he had to do, having drawn the keeper, was roll it to his right into the path of O’Hare for a tap in.
Also in the second half, he’d lost his marker at a corner, he was at the back post with a free header, again the keeper was closing down the angle and he headed it at goal, into the ground and straight back to him. FFS he’s got to head it back across the goal in that situation, with the keeper out of position and flapping about at the far post.
He’s the main striker but I believe its his job to create goals for others, as much as score goals himself and on todays showing, that is something he really needs to work on.
If he’d squared it to O’Hare and headed it back for Soutter to finish, everyone would be rightly lauding him for a superb number 9 display and how he’d been instrumental, in a comfortable 3-0 win. Probably forget about his penalty too
