Unfortunately we haven't learnt from lasts seasons shocking Pre-Season we have decided to try and beat it.
We have let about 20 players leave and replaced them with 5.
We are 6 days away from the first game, we start on -2 points, we will have mostly kids on the bench as it stands.
Based on all of the above I think the vast majority of our fans have been more than patient.

Both stating it like its an absolute fact.

The only way is if the club tell us why he didn't sign, but frankly with what the communication is like from our club there's more chance of Brewster scoring 30 goals this season.

Can't the club just say he failed the medical if that is actually true.
I get they can not say the reason why he failed the medical because that would be confidential.

What kind of fuckwit organisation lets it’s only recognised RB (Curtis) leave before the ONLY cover we might possibly have hasn’t even come through the front door.

Is it just me or do we seem to sign centre halves and play them full back and full backs at centre half quite a lot?

I’m sure Curtis played CH at st. Pats. Robinson was signed as a left back. Trusty a centre half. Gilchrist is CH. we played Sachdev at CH vs. Harrogate.

Agents do not work for free. They are paid when their player gets a transfer or signs a new contract. I believe that a significant portion of this (if not all) normally comes from the club, rather than the player, unlike in say the entertainment industry.

So we’re already down to “about ten”, rather than “about 20”, even before taking into account players who were out of contract or refusing to sign a new one. Not saying we don’t need further replacements, but “about 20” is a ludicrous overstatement.

Less so these days as it caused so many tax problems. If the agent is working for the player (and they usually are) the club’s payment of the fee was treated as the club meeting the pecuniary liability of the player (a bit like a benefit in kind, but with NIC also thrown in) and a huge & expensive mess was created for player & club (but not for the agent). There has to be a proper apportionment of the agent’s fees between club & player these days.

I saw this exact issue almost take a current PL club down not so long ago.

Including the Charlton keeper we’ve signed 6 players and Dazzler Darren says that 2 defenders are coming in soon. You wouldn’t say we’ve signed about 10, would you?
