Paddy Kenny has denied claims from Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell that he has been offered a new contract.

Blackwell stated that the club were happy to hand a new deal to the 30-year-old Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper.

However, Kenny has revealed that the club keep putting contract talks off and with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season - he will open talks with other clubs.

"I have been promised a new contract since August," he said.

"I keep getting told 'next month, next month'. It makes me feel unwanted.

"If I am not offered anything I have got to speak to other clubs."

Why would Blackwell say we have when we haven't?

Either someone in the press is talking balls, or there's something rotten at the core of the club!

Despite recent complaints about kenny's performances of late I would be sad to see him go because I think we will struggle to find as good a shot stopper as him. Blackwell stop pissing about and get him signed up for at least another year!

At least i think that is when his contract runs out.

I heard this was in the Sun aswell, i reckon its all toss, although i was wondering why he had not signed a new contract when it was mentioned about 2 months ago.

Is he demanding ridiculous wages?

I have some sympathy with this view, for me his distribution is diabolical and there are better all round goal keepers out there.
