I've had two people from my group drop out so I've got two tickets for sale if anybody is interested!

£66 category - however for fellow blades I'll sell the pair for £120.

They're in Bramall Lane Upper, fairly central.
PM me if you're interested or for more info.

Is it worth paying the Sky box office fee for this one? I am only casual boxing fan and don't mind if it's going to be a good fight, but I have tried to read up on this one and 90% of the boxing journalists seem to think it's a shoe in for the yank, even our own John Rawling doesn't seem to think Kell can win.

Paid to watch Kell fight Golovkin last year and despite being brave he was well beaten in all truth and pretty quickly as well. Is this likely to go the same way?

Finally gave in and got tickets for it. Sat in the family stand. Few on eccy road then onto hopefully watch the special one keep his title

Me too pal...Got 3 x cheapo seats in John street. Will be on Eccy road pre-fight too.

I can't tell anyone how to spend their money but as long as Kells eye stands up it won't end as quick as the GGG fight.

Make no mistake though this is a though fight, people like Oscar De La Hoya and Freddie Roach are 100% certain that Spence will win and he's not one of their fighters so they are pretty impartial and good judges.

Kell will need the performance of his life, can he win? at his very best yes I am convinced of it, but he will need to be at that best and there is the concern that going up the weights then coming back down may drain him.

Looking forward to it though, if we had not had that Classic at Wembley the other week this could be fight of the year.

I think with the build up to the fight this week it'll help sell a few more tickets and push the attendance up to near a sell out. For those without tickets, if it isn't a sell out, head to the Lane and you'll got a bargain either from touts or fans with spares ... always a buyers market when not a sell out.

Don't agree with that, thought Kell looked the better boxer, had the better boxing skills, rocked the physically bigger man once or twice with his own shots and proved he had the chin to take big shots from a renowned heavy puncher who was two natural weights higher. He only lost due to the broken eye socket, didn't two of the judges have Kell ahead at the point Dom Ingle threw the towel in?

De La Hoya is also a promoter and Spence doesnt have one so people like him and Mayweather are all over him like a rash.

I get that the american is the favourite for plenty of reasons, one of them being that he's simply a very good fighter. To me though it's strange how all these boxing commentators and stuff are so confident he's gonna win when his chin has never been tested. That's a pretty big unknown when you're facing a very accurate puncher with good power.

Spence is still very much a unknown quantity. The fact that he has thought litterly no one any good means this is a true 5050 fight

Kell will be right on the weight with hardly an ounce to spare....but come fight night he will be a lot heavier after taking on fluids and carbs.....Spence is more of a natural weight so won't change much...that weight difference could be telling. C'Mon Kell...

I think a lot of the pundits predicting Spence are doing so with an agenda.

Either sky talking up the lesser man or promoters/Americans hyping up "their" man. Seen it many a time on sky, during fights they'll have it much closer on their scorecards than it actually is so they can keep fans interested.

Personally can't see anything other than a Brook win, he's fought in the big title fights & stepped up to give GGG 6 good rounds. He hits hard & if he lands he will get a stoppage.

As mentioned earlier the only flaw could be how his eye hold up & if it is on his mind & makes him change his plan

I must admit after watching the previews on Sky that Spence does come across as a nice bloke, very family orientated, very focused and at this stage not distracted by the riches and hype of "The American Dream"....should be a cracking fight.

I personally can't see how Brook isn't the favourite for this, he's the belt holder and has fought some very good boxers, Spence has fought absolutely nobody. Brook all the way for me, he's proven.

Kell's fought two world-class fighters, losing to one and beating the other

I expect KB to win to to say Spence has fought absolutely no one is silly.

Sean, Sean, what has happened to your grammar and punctuation?

Has Bladetoolong hacked your account?

For me Kell Brook is a big favourite. Because it doesnt take expert to know if he lands anything like what he did v golovkin. Spence is a goner.

I'm interested here, ST, who do you think he's fought then whose in Kelly Brooks class?
Doesn't matter who's he's fought because he hasn't been beaten yet. Therefore, there's no way of measuring precisely how good he is.

Of course you can, you look at who he has fought and see how they've gone on in their respective careers.

Spence has thought Bundu who was a good boxer but he fought him at 41 years old. The main point I'm getting at which I tried to do at the start is how can Brook not be the bookies favourite for this when it's clear Kell has fought the much better fighters?

Because more money has gone on Spence.

I haven't said he's fought anyone of Kells class or anyone as good as Kells been in with as champion. It was your comment that he'd fought "absolutely nobody" is, IMO, wide of the mark.

I was merely trying to get my point across regarding the favourite tag.

In all honesty though, it isn't that wide of the mark if you look at his career.

Who had Joshua fought before he won a title? If you haven't fought anyone decent and haven't been tested, no one really knows how good you are. The other fighters in Spence's gym and his sparring partners will have an idea but even they won't know for certain.

I've seen plenty of UK fighters who've looked the business get taken apart by an American on his way up. Liam Walsh got hammered last Saturday.

Kell's fought Shawn Porter and beaten him, a fight that was perfect for Kell against a much smaller opponent. GGG was never in trouble. Kell's had trouble with his weight. This is by no means a cut and dried victory for Kell.

Maybe not but when I keep hearing all this and that in the media regarding Spence I just think more than one or two people are underestimating Brooks' quality.

GGG definitely got rocked, you could tell but Kell had to have the bottle to step up in the first place because mouthy cunts like Khan nearer his own natural weight wouldn't fight him.

Like I say BB, at those prices I'm on Brook all day long.

Either way, it should be a fight where both of them go for it so it should be a good un and i'm really looking forward to it.
