I'm going. Really looking forward to it as never been to a big title fight before.

On the subject of ale, does the fact this isn't a footy match mean we can take beers to our seats?

God help ya if it's the usual mob serving on the kop, you will miss most of the card trying to get a beer.

I don't want be sat around in The Lane for hours and hours either. I reckon we'll head into town first for a few beers and something to eat then head on to London Road. Could do with knowing what time the ring walks are planned for so we know when we want to get into the ground. Lad at work who is a big boxing fan reckons that they'll leave the Brook fight till as late as possible for the American audience.

I'm assuming so. There'll probably be a riot if not :D

Some good under card fights ,groves world title tilt is a great fight .up the blades up the kell.

The bookies have Spence as favourite for the fight which I'm a bit shocked about.

Not seen the odds but if so then that is a surprise. Genuine 50/50 fight for me, too many all aboard the Spence hype train. Yeah he's up and coming and dangerous but he hasn't fought anyone near Kell's level yet. He'll be in for a shock when he hears the crowd for the first time too. Spence is a confident kid but i think he's underestimating the potential role of the fans and how much of an effect they will have on the night. He really has no idea what's coming and i honestly think he'll shit himself. Kell on points.

Heard 10:20pm for the Brook fight. 6:00pm for the first fight. I've noticed the gates open at half four which seems a bit early?

Probably the first fight on the actual bill, floater fights probably from 5pm and anywhere else where a gap is. Floaters arent usually announced on the bill and normally at least 1 floater fight doesnt happen even theyve been gloved up for hours.

There's one reason and one reason only why Spence is the favourite.

Kell is having to drop some mega weight since the Golovkin fight and bare in mind he was out of action for a while because of his eye socket.

Spence is the next American dream, their golden child. If anyone watched their last one Jeff Lacy when he fought Calzaghe, it didn't end well for him and totally finished his career.

This won't go to points, no chance.

Ke was 8/11 favourite in most places when the fight was announced. The odds have changed for one reason, the long standing training rumours, true or not.

What rumours are they?

Be interesting to see if there's any argy bargy with different allegiances on the night.

I spoke to one lad who is a massive boxing fan who isn't going because he thinks it'll be like the Wild West in the crowd.

I've been to various boxing events (including Kell at the arena) & there's usually a stipulation that there are no football shirts allowed into the arena (and you're checked on the way in by security).

The only bit of bother I've ever seen was a at one of Brooks fights funnily enough & it involved a couple of nob heads goading an ex blade on one of the front rows. All a bit handbags & was over within seconds, but that's been it. Can't see it being any different at the lane personally.

I also agree that this fight will not go 12 rounds. Both have knock out power & neither have really had their chins tested. It's an interesting fight though, rather looking forward to it.

I was at a white collar charity boxing match at the lane a few weeks ago when it kicked off big style, a charity do!!

If Kell hits Spence as hard as he hit Golovkin, it won't go the distance.

Lol.....according to Wickipedia, Kell has already beaten Spence......knocked him out in round 7!!

Spence is already in the UK, training at Khan's gym in Bolton

Went to the Brook-Hatton fight at the Arena and there was pockets of trouble over the place, in the seats, concourse level, it kicked off next to us, if I remember correctly there were a few from Hull slating Sheffield, unfortunately for them they were sitting just a row behind some BBC lads.
