How many of you lovely people will be watching ah Kell tonight I can’t wait. Also how as the fight gone ahead when fan safety was the reason our game couldn’t go ahead .

It’s an interesting fight in that Kell should win comfortably on points but will he be able to carry the power up to Light Middle and stop the guy.

Light Middle is not blessed with great Champions now Canelo has moved up so he does have a good chance of becoming a two weight world champion within the year.

As long as the eyes hold up.

Thinking of bobbing down to the Arena later, it's nowhere near a sell out so tickets outside should be cheaper.

Don't get me on our game being postponed, as far as i'm concerned if the pitch is playable it's on. If certain fans feel worried about attending (and I bet the weather will put a very small % off, if any), don't go easy. I've been to work all week, got off my estate fairly easily, Handsworth Road, Parkway, M1, M18 all fine, even been this morning and no problem whatsoever. It's nannying state gone f***ing bonkers.

What about that burst water pipe on Hemsworth Rd

Would love to see Kell Brook get back to winning ways and have a couple more years at the top and big paydays.
But most of all I hope he gets out of the sport safe. He’s suffered two tough losses.
Terrific fighter and a Blade. Top man.

Or it could be that Wilder was asked and he advised that it might be good for the players to have a rest before a big game on Tuesday.

Either way, grrrrrr *

Wilder has no interest in the good of our players let alone Kell Brook. He needs to concentrate on getting past Ortiz to line up a shot at Joshua.

I’m off down to the arena later, disappointed that our match was called off but hoping it shows against Fulham midweek! Hoping Derby manage to get another back against them but doesn’t sound likely...

Far from an easy comeback this for Kell.

That's one thing I'll give him credit for in recent years especially, he's not afraid to take the tough fights and tricky options.

Be Interesting to see how he approaches tonight. Rabchenko can be unorthodox what I've seen.

Not an easy fight for Kell considering what he’s been through the last two fights. And a loss would end his career.

As for the safety, if united wanted the match on it would’ve been on. The fact that every premier league game was on, just shows that money talks, and if united wanted the match on enough the surrounding areas could’ve been cleared

phew big relief with that great KO from Brook against a potential dangerous opponent with brilliant shot you could tell his legs after that shot. He wasn't going anywhere but phew as i was saying because i was nervous pre fight from the 'what if's' of the last 2 fights

but surprised hes even still fighting tonight, because listening to bunce & costello podcast. He said he was depressed for a few months after as understandably when the dream crumbled that defeat hit him hard & then after that brave display at the lane where he fought for 4 rds with double vision & appartantly still winning on points in rd 8. That id seen his last fight because he would forced into retirement

Great pre tune to announce his comeback before his customary "all of the lights"

Well that was certainly more straightforward than I envisaged

Likewise. But after I'd seen how he performed I remembered just how good he really is .

Kell Brook is one of around 10 truly world class boxers in the sport right now . He just happens to have been beaten by one fighter who looks like he'll be revered as one of the very best in the sport ( after stepping up 2 weights to fight him ) and another who could join him .

Well done Kell, great to have you back .

On the nannying front, walked from Attercliffe Common to the Arena, the wind was a bit icy cold at times but survived it! Got a £40 ticket off a tout, who wanted £60 to start with for £25 (for 4/5 minutes of boxing still seems steep, but that's the chance you take). Then walked the return 2 mile journey home, through Greenland and UP Handsworth Hill without any mishaps. Finished the night off unscathed with a ten minute walk home from the Old Crown in the snow.

I'm now in the process of composing a letter to the powers that be about postponing a game 40+ hours before kick off, against a team 45 minute down the road. Given how easily accessible roads, paths and under soil heated pitches were by noon today something stinks in all this.

It doesn't really stink, its just financial sense, but yes the game could've been played if we really wanted to. It just meant that we would've had to issuing a call to arms (shovels) and spend a bit of cash clearing the nearby streets as a priority.

However, Amey were busy sneaking out cutting trees down whilst the protesters were sledging.

If United had played, they'd have got around 18k. It's not just about the pitch being playable - we've 'bought' more time to rest the players/recover from minor knocks/avoid further injuries before a pivotal game on Tuesday. Burton can wait. Bristol City, like a lot of the West coast (Liverpool, Swansea etc.) has a micro-climate. Also, Bristol wanted the game to go ahead as Wednesday are so shite.

Even so, a lot of fans looked out of the window and thought 'fuck that.' 'Local Derby' Burnley v Everton - 20,802. Swansea v Scammers - 20,829. Watford v West Brom - 20,022. Even the biggest match of the day by far - Bristol v pigs barely scraped 22k and well over half the crowd were Wednesdayites.

I’m fairly certain that this hasn’t had a major effect on your life in the grand scheme of things so just let it go. The decision was made, those who made it obviously had their reasons.

Great night at the arena last night with the highlight being Gavin McDonnells’ victory over 12 great rounds. Fairly routine win for Kell but expected more from Rabchenko. Enjoyable night slightly tarnished by the minority knobhead element who can’t handle they’re ale and want to fight or throw full 2pint pots over people all dressed up in they’re best clobber. Surely the Khan fight will be on this year?

But we've had a good rest before Fulham, could be a smart move.

Now Khans with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom I'm tempted to say it's nailed on but for some reason I don't think it will happen . Issues around the weight they'll fight at , the purse for each fighter and where it will happen etc etc etc will prove too much to overcome sadly . Shame really .

I think Khans waiting to use it as his last big payday knowing that Kell will finish his career once and for all. It’s game over for the loser and Khans always been running scared regardless of the drivel he’s spouted in the past. Issues around the weight etc won’t be a problem for either of the purse is big enough which it should be. The purse split could be the problem. Khan has always thought he’s bigger & better than he actually is.

Agreed . And that's partly the reason I don't think it will happen . Even if Kells a newly crowned world champion Khan will still insist on the lions share of the prize money . Part of me wishes Kell would just say ' fuck it, you can have more than me, let's just get it on ' but I don't think he will and rightly so .
