Starting for Wales. That national anthem really stirs the blood in a way that England’s never could.

Yeah, I notice he's wearing the number thirteen shirt - as soon as I saw his name next to the number, I thought: that's all we need, more bad luck! 🙄

Why are so many on here lining up his replacement? Who's said that he's leaving? I've seen nothing to suggest he's leaving the club.

I'm sure that Moore and Campbell will be our starting front 2 for next season.

He has 2years left on his contract lives locally and will be on a decent wage ! Why would he leave ?
He wouldn't get a better deal anywhere so we have him for now.
Not a fan myself! Does put himself about ! but is a Donkey really and has been all his career.
Still used his assets well and had a good career ! Which shows if you want it enough it's there for you.
His first touch is awful ! But had a good career

Unless someone comes in with an offer he will be staying for another year. As you mentioned, a 2 year contract will need cashing in on next summer. We might get a few quid for him.

At 32, he has a few seasons left in the Championship I'm sure.

All this could change if our new owners really mean business.

A few quid as in £3? No one's gonna pay that much. We're stuck with him.

It makes it even worse that England doesn't actually have one. We choose to sing that boring sack of tripe because we need to sing something at the start of games. I'd personally rather it be Agadoo than God Save the King.

He has to be moved on if anyone will take him. We cannot play a fast front foot style and have him upfront. He looked so bad and slow yesterday.

Come on that random side from Iran, offer us something. anything. Please.
Id probably see if Wrexham fancies him.. they were looking at Smith from the pigs. Twice the player.

LJBlade is back from his mandated ban to bore us all out of existence. Maybe he can randomly send me direct messages again.

One of many silly decisions in the summer. He’s a good option at this level and he has a bad moment in the final which turned fans against him

Because none of the fans who poured hate on him has ever made a mistake in their lives so they are in no way hypocrites and were fully entitled to be wankers.

Regardless of what any fan thought about him or has commented on him, it was the club's decision to sell him, not the fans.

Thankfully, we had Hoyland and the fabulous recruitment team on hand to ensure that a suitable replacement was immediately sourced and bought in.

Phew!

I’d be interested to know how many crosses we put in the box when he was on the pitch for us last season, we seem to be a lot more willing to cross a ball this season than last and prior to signing Bamford we had no one to convert them.

We’re also playing a lot more direct this season and with 2 strikers, I do think Moore as a target with a runner off him would have been ok. Our ability to isolate a ‘big man’ with 1 up front has nagged me since we had Rob Hulse at the club,

I've just read Moores comments post our recent match with them where he basically says it was great to put two fingers up at us. I can understand why he says that, and he didn't put it quite as crudely as that but it does leave a sour taste in the mouth given how he was a very average player for the most part of last season, he only played 27 league matches so was unavailable for 19 of them and cost us a promotion with his poor decision making to not pass to Campbell and the assist for Sunderland.

So he can think our criticism was unfair, although he didn't say that I'm guessing he thinks that, because of his post match comments but I think a bit more humility given all of the above would have been nice. I honestly don't think he's anywhere near as effective as some think he is. He's got very little aggression, wasn't great in the air, only got one assist, his finishing was mixed at best. Probably Wrexhams style of play with more crosses suits him but this season with Seriki on fire would probably be similar. Id much rather Bamford over Moore myself.

I'd much rather have Bamford and Moore myself.

Why?

We bought him, didn’t play to his strengths, scapegoated him for a play off final defeat and then sold him due a wank manager and set of owners without a clue.

It’s a hardly a time he’s going to look back fondly on and I’d probably think the same in the same circumstances.

Let’s not forget Billy ‘The Blade’ Sharp was of a similar mindset when he played against us having been let go by some pretty backwards Blades managers many moons ago.
