We could do a lot worse than to get a decent target man in, for a plan B. Not saying Moore is that option and I leave that to our scouting network. Ideally someone who is also mobile and scores, but they tend to cost big bucks.

But the concept of having a big lad as an option is a good one. When we have struggled this season to score its apparent that we play lovely little triangles across the pitch, getting it out wide to the by line, then decide nothings on and then either work it across to the other side of the pitch or it goes back to the defence. It would be a real benefit I think to have someone in the box who can take advantage of Stevens and Baldocks deliveries.

In fact, I would suggest having a lad who is really good in the air is something we are missing a trick on. We don't have to chasnge out way of playing for this lad (whoever he would be) to be effective either.

For the right price, i would love us to get a decent target man as another option available to CW during matches. However, I'd add always go with pacy players to start with.

I can handle it easy. That’s not a problem if you think he’s shit. What I can’t handle is people who struggle to read? So I’ll say it again! I’m in favour of a big lump coming on for the last 15/20 minutes to cause bollocks for these pre league prima donnas. If you’re not, not fair do’s. So why are you even debating the point?

Neil, you aren't coming back, ever, let it go.......

I’m saying I want someone to come on and cause bollocks like Madine/Hanson
If you think it’s a good signing for us I’m glad you’re not the gaffer
Can just see Klopp, OJS, Morinio et al telling someone to go on for the last 20 and cause bollocks. As @Chabuddy says I’m glad it’s CW in charge 🤣 😷 ;)

How has the worst suggestion ever seen on this forum managed to generate 5 pages of responses?
Funny but a bit harsh... 🤣 there a few worse ones if you look down the rumour mill

If we were newly promoted and had no strikers on the books at all I’d have considered it purely for numbers. But we’ve literally finished top half in the Prem and we’re after a relegated Championship sides bang average centre forward purely because he’s 6’4 to ‘cause bollocks’

I’ve never heard anything like it. Let’s get Warnock back while we’re at it

and of course (though I couldn't be bothered to read pages 2 to 5) if we have a big lad in their area he generally gets booted about until he wins a head then gets a yellow.

Been a twist in our hot pursuit of Kieffer today, Cardiff have joined the race for him.

Other teams apparently in for him include QPR, Millwall, Stocksbridge Park Steels and Farsley Celtic.

I did think when watching the Fulham game last week that Cardiff were desperately lacking a Moore – Ward and Glatzel looked fairly poor throughout.

10 goals and 4 assists for the big man. Understandably attracting a lot of attention to lead the line for a lot of Championship clubs – would be a good backup option from the bench. He’ll probably want regular football though so may be a non-starter.

I do jest and I’m being overly harsh, however he’s not even close to being a good option for us imo

We can and will do so much better

The fact that Woodburn is a welsh international shows you the standard that we have. Without Bale Wales is nothing.

Ben Woodburn has played about 10 minutes of competitive action for Wales in 3 years. He’s about as representative of the current Wales team as Kieron Freeman is. It’s like suggesting Jake Livermore shows you the standard that the current England team has based on a couple of games three years ago.

Was just a cheeky comment, theres brooks and wilson playing for Wales who are decent just a shame that the quality of players have dropped since the euros.

I don’t think it’s so much a drop in quality as a lack of cohesion with how the current available players are being used tbh that’s been the problem the last couple of years. Injuries certainly haven’t helped, but there simply isn’t the sort of clear understanding of how to approach games that there was under Coleman. A team in transition sadly.

Very true, doesnt feel like there is any clear vision to move forwards

Looks like Cardiff are gonna nick him. We should have made our intentions clearer, earlier. Ffs

Looks like he'll be at Cardiff.. glad to see them showing some ambition. Premier League club like us should be snapping quality talent like this...
