Not just that, but he now has to crowbar Arblaster, Peck, Reidewald & Rothwell into a 2 man midfield. None of which are especially dynamic or creative.

It was interesting and I would like to hear from those who have more tactical insight, but he really seemed to want to sit in that space we used call a left-half position, usually when we were attacking and play was in front of him. Then he would move across to almost a third centre back position on the right. Shuttling back and forth. He did this also in the brief flashes we saw of him last season.
