However, what is an absolute indication of "good business" is selling x players, replacing them with y players and ending up in a division above in that season.
Moving Adams on (and taking your pick of Duffy, JOC, Jake Wright etc.) was a springboard to us moving in the right direction. If we can now scoop some more froth from the pool way after the event (not in a Michael Barrymore sort of way) would be a nice bit of icing on top.

Absolutely, hence my purposeful inclusion of “in itself” in my response.

Overall, raising money to do even better business is a positive.

Our shortfalls were mentioned long before any of those deals were done. Those deals might never have been done, and if they weren't are we really to believe that we'd have lost £25 - £30 million over the last two years

You're mixing up cash flow with losses. And cash flow with profits on player sales.

Your point should be that these deals have saved the owners putting more cash in rather than possibly suggesting the figures don't add up.

There was a sum in the last set of accounts showing how much we’d got from sell-ons. I remember several of us trying to work out what it was made up from, then someone remembered it included Murphy as we got some cash when Brighton were promoted.

Did you see Wilder signing madine? He seems to get along well with Billy so it wouldn't upset the dressing room. I doubt we would be able to afford him as 12-16 million is likely to be too much, more chance of getting DCL back on loan

According to the infamous ‘Sky sources ‘ it seems that the Blades have a 20% sell on clause should Birmingham sell. Based on the £12m that is being touted around as we sold him for £2m that would generate a £10m profit with our share then being £2m.
If this happens the sale of the Jug eared one would be another great piece of transfer business by Wilder as the add ins would have paid for Oli Norwood !
Great to see Hogan confirmed and am really looking forward to Saturday and seeing perhaps both him and Madine in action at some stage in the game
