CM - Most important position to full for me, Peck has a decent future but not at levels to be starting majority of Championship games for me. With Blaster out for season and Souza carrying an injury has to be number 1 priority - Tyler Morton looking most likely candidate

ST/Winger - Player who is versatile enough to play up top as a striker but also comfortable on the wing - BBD looking most likely candidate

RB - Love Gilchrist, but RB not his preferred position and limited in that role especially going forward. With Seriki carrying an injury a more attacking RB would be welcome.

What about poor old Shackleton , he must be wondering why he came here

i think shackleton will be gone next summer hes just not good enough and yes the 4 positions ham has highlighted are surely the 4 that chris will be strengthening a new rb then releases gilchrist to cover at cb

We only have two loan slots left so I reckon an experienced forward and a midfielder( cover for Souza) will be priority. We may have to sell ( Brooks ?) if we need to buy anyone

the 2 loans have to be ben brereton and tyler morton that leaves a rb and winger on permanents will be interesting to see who chris has lined up

This is exciting now the takeover has happened isn’t it!
There’s been strong rumours that BBD and Morton are the top two targets. If they were the only two to come in then I’d be very happy with that alone. But now the new owners are in place I’m wondering what the possibilities could be?!
Can we get BBD on a permanent? That would be amazing and free up another loan spot 👍
So: LW/ST = BBD perm. CM = Morton loan
Options: LW/ST = Barry loan. CM = Hamza perm.
I think I need a drink to calm myself down! 🤣
UTB!! 👊⚔️

Recruitment team presenting to the new owners on 27th according to Wilder (source Cappy pre match Burnley summary)

So get your suggestions to the recruitment team by midnight on Boxing Day

The two most heavily linked (BBD & Morton) I’m more than happy with. Anything more would be a pleasant surprise as far as I’m concerned Tony! 😁

1. Brereton - him specifically, very clear outstanding option
2. CM - defensively competent ball player
3. Right sided attacking mid - Sakyi replacement/competition
4. Right back - ability going forward

Makes a lot of sense.
Brereton (1), Morton (2), Isaiah Jones (3&4) would be a cracking window.
Would cover all the bases mentioned above, whilst BBD is also an option at CF.

I'd also add a CF capable of running the channels and holding it up.
Kieffer Moore & Tyrese Campbell will need a rest.
Ashley Barnes on a 6 month deal seemed a sensible "do a job, get you over the line" type option to me.
Comes on with 10/15 to go, starts home games against lower half teams in 3 game weeks. Ideal for squad management and has enough about him to be effective.

I'd also add, signing someone like Barnes, would free up Tyrese Campbell to play off the right if / when needed.
His most effective position at Stoke.
Likewise, if BBD came in, Hamer could move into a more central area. His most effective position at Coventry.

3/4 intelligent signings are hopefully all this squad needs.

Liking all the suggestions- particularly BBD and Morton - but based on long experience of the Blades, the priority is keeping hold of all our key players. We could get an early test of the owners from desperate Prem teams.

Jones and Brereton's versatility makes it a perfect trio of signings

I'd also sign a CF if possible - and hopefully McBurnie rather than Barnes. Would also be quite keen on Jade-Jones for the pace, he's really quite young as well

If the Yanks do transfer windows properly and it's 3 players so as not to disturb the squad dynamic I'm going with all the Bs

BBD
Billing
Barry

I think McBurnie might be overkill with Kieffer Moore already here.
I'm not sure he'd come back on a loan deal without game-time guarantees.
But a better player, without doubt.

I'm less keen on RJJ. Watched him a handful of times in person. Rapid, but with a terrible touch.

McBurnie would surely start about 2 out of 3 games if he came back - and that would suit him perfectly

Can I chuck Matt Grimes in the mix and Koumas from Stoke if Liverpool call him back.

Also maybe Alex Scott from Bournemouth

Billing & Barry both attack minded midfielders, when it's an Arblaster replacement we really need.

Unless the plan would be for Hamer to drop back in there if BBD did come in.

wouldnt tyler morton be arblasters replacement ? billing would be a good choice left sided midfielder could give us 3 bs down left burrows billing and brereton

Billing would play Arblasters position, pick the ball up and run with it, that is what we are 'missing' (if indeed u can be missing anything at the top of the league!).

Two from Souza, Billing, Davies and Peck would be some central midfield

However Biling is making Bournemouths bench so I doubt he's gettable

Don't think we need a winger or a midfielder if Diaz signs
Surely we could just move hamer centre mid

I've enjoyed watching Sariki ,going forward, as a wing back, seems to link up well with Saki.

It’s probably one of the issues to sort for the window and I didn’t think it was at first. I always thought having a non attacking fullback was ok so JRS could stay up, however because there is no overlap it’s causing JRS to struggle where he’s getting double teamed or triple when it came to the pigs. I really don’t want Bree but someone similar to seriki with some more experience

Cm agreed

St hopefully bbd and someone tricky to play across the front 3 , but central striker will be a bonus signing

RB yes a more forward thinking player

Personally I'd like to see another centre half, not seen enough of Gilchrist at Ch and baptiste is a bit of unknown

But what do we know CW,des Taylor get paid the big bucks hopefully enough quality to get us over the line

could be right frank just that most on here seem to think that were gonna sign another winger do agree with you on hamer get him more central when ben brereton comes in thats where hes at his best and more dangerous
