Quality player. Bad character. But. You and I always can take a second chance. Trouble is Jose has had chance after chance. Very gifted though.

more talent than he deserves, without wanting to be controversial, i would say natural talent above all our midfield (Brookes aside), just goes to show what desire can do - think of Coutts 2yrs ago, that's a mans attitude, where as Baxter has the drive and determination of a benefits scrubber watching Jeremy Kyle on his 50" flat screen.
 
Baxter did something good once every ten games, I think people over hype him tbh. When I look at our midfielders now I don't think Baxter would get anywhere near this team. I rate Lunny more than Baxter.
 
Could not get to norwich yesterday .so being local to doncaster went to see donny play oldham .forgot jose baxter still played for oldham.and a player we were after a few seasons ago chris o'grady .anyway both ineffective in that game.ben whiteman had a cracking game 2 goals and m.o.m. looking half decent player albeit against oldham.was actually hoping to see tyler smith on loan from us to rovers but was maybe cuptied anyway just thought i would mention it u.t.b great result at norwich

We weren't just "after" O'Grady - we signed him under Clough.

I personally couldn't care less where they have played before, as long as they do the business for us :)

I'd have preferred Joao to Madine but obviously finances dictate.

Wasn't O'Grady a loan?

He was; we chased him for what seemed like about 18 months (must not have been any other strikers in the world at the time) and then finally got him on loan. He played 4, scored one and then got recalled after Brighton had an injury crisis. Summed up much of that period for us really.

My lad went to Rovers yesterday to do one of his ex-Blade scouting reports. He said Baxter played ok. He is hoping to see Smith soon.
 
No going to disagree he was ok .but i dont think he was effective and rightly subbed.we all see games differently .or otice one player more than another but appreciate his comment.and would ever disagree with a fellow blade.effective being the word i used
