To be fair. Him and Evans scored over 70 goals between them in 2012 and if anyone could get the best out of him, it'd be Chrissy Wilder.

I think Wednesday would have to pay 99% of his wages, offer us a few million and their Kop for the derby at Hillsborugh for us to sign him though

For S6 to get the best out of Rhodes , Hooper and Fletcher they need to look no further than signing Danny Graham from Blackburn . Got the full pack then :D of the overrated , over paid ,

How much must the pigs envy our manager ?

Wilder wouldn't have touched half of their squad with a fucking barge pole . Off the top of my head , Hooper would have been politely told to get fucked . Forestfairy would have been impolitely told to get fucked . Whilst Rhodes would have been thrashed about the head and body if he'd set foot in our car park .

In Wilder we trust :)

In a way I disagree. If Wilder signed the Pigs entire squad, he'd get them promoted as Champions and can give Jordan Rhodes the balls to take penalties

Fair point , Wilder would unquestionably have done better with the same squad of players than caravan has . But the critical point in all of this is that Wilder wouldn't have signed half of them . Attitude , hunger desire and pride in the shirt are the things Wilder cherishes . After watching that inept shower last night there's probably two , maybe three , that Wilder would have signed .
 
Owd Carlos one coat. Shit coat at that! All that money, but a complete liability. Lightweight in midfield last year. Still lightweight this. Buys glass legs, Fletcher (who's more interested in being photographed with his fancy cars, getting a new hair transplant, and eating donuts in his CK's than playing football) who's probably having his best game for them, he scores, then he subs him? £40,000 a week well spent. One coat must have thought, we've luckily got an hour out of you, so come and sit with me son and you can check your instagram. He then relies on a once retired crock, Hutchinson, who hasn't played for the last 2 months to take their 1st penalty!!! Surprisingly, he missed it! Then the cherry on the cake, their one time, but all is forgiven, on strike diver, Forestifairy, is given the chance to save their season, after a fantastic save by Westwood, misses his penalty in front of the tuneless Boy Scout band! Can you imagine Wilder allowing that bollocks to happen at the Lane?

I forgot Rhodes had come on yesterday. I can honestly say I never heard the commentator mention him once. Did he go straight back off?

Looked a forlorn figure for the 20 minutes or so he was on. Let's be right, Rhodes has been a top striker at this level for years, so what Wednesday have managed to do to him in such a short space of time really must take some doing. And it's only cost them the fat end of £10m plus £60k+ a week in wages...

If we could get him a no cost (which we can't) then I'd love to take him as I think he'd be a huge success, but I don't want us to help Wednesday out the financial shithole they are in with his wages.

It seems "deconstructed" food is the current fashion. At Hillsborough they deconstruct footballers.
 
In the Robin Hood at Hathersage couple weeks ago. CW was sat at bar with another 2 blokes. Said "eyup" to him and plonked my arse at a table. CW and the blokes left shortly afterwards. The man serving drinks was talking about him and Jordan Rhodes. Said Rhodes had been in the pub earlier with family aswell. Reckoned it looked like they were surprised to see each other but did spend about 20-30mins talking. A nothing story I thought, until spoke to a pal of mine (that's usually not far off with rumours) on eccy road today. He reckons Rhodes has had a couple of meetings with wilder who believes Rhodes, in the right team, could be an astute acquisition. Sounds like we're in dialogue with them about a season loan. He's on around 36k PW with us not willing to go above the 20k max structure in place. Personally, at 20k a week, I'd take a plunge, with perhaps a return clause after new year.
