Arblaster posted a photo of him and Shackleton doing rehab together. I have no idea whether he has any other issues going on, but he is definitely injured.

Yeah I saw that as well. Hopefully the rumours aren't true. They did seem to come out of nowhere.

Don't think this has been posted yet. Interesting read.

I see after saying every signing for us last season in the Premier League including Luke Thomas and Benie Traore would be great additions Riley has hedged his bets this time round.

The quick summary from Riley is might be a good signing, but might not be a good signing.

I can assure you I definitely said nothing of the like about Luke Thomas.

Sounds like a very similar player to Bogle

He's nothing like Bogle.

A tenacious defender (like Baldock) that's good with the ball at his feet.
He doesn't dribble past players and isn't really quick.

Decent progressive passer, rarely gives the ball away and has a decent delivery.
Hard worker.

He'd be an upgrade on Gilchrist, but would probably need better for PL.

Confident on PL after that performance 🙃😂

Probably the least important of the signings of Seriki can be fit.

If Dunne has been playing right back for QPR, it might be just as well getting him and another centre back.

That said, isn’t right back another avenue for Choudhury to get in the team?

Maybe we get him and another centre back.

The German clubs call on this one, but if the players is OOC in the summer? you would think that they would take a fee now if the player wants the move. Otherwise you risk having a very unhappy player on your hands sulking. Maybe it's just Hertha Berlin playing the game to try and get more money out of United if we want the player enough to raise the fee.

The fee will only be modest (less than £1m), so maybe they'd rather hold on and roll the dice on top 3.

They're mid-table at the moment, six points off Hamburg in third who they play at home next.

I'm not sure how they're fixed financially, but maybe they can afford to take the small hit.

It would be a bit harsh on Jonjoe Kenny though. His statement about being new parents and wanting to move home, closer to family and leave the club on good terms should be enough for Hertha to respect his wishes provided the fee is agreeable.

NerdyBlade what do you make of the Stoke right back Junior Tchamadeu?

He's looked good to me, powerful, dynamic, and an attacking threat, and is only 21

Might be a good Seriki replacement, being as though he can also stay fit for more than 20 minutes

I think a right back is as important as a centre half and centre mid signing. Gilchrist is not a RB, everyone knows that. Gilchrist is generally decent defensively but playing RB you need to be pacey because it's likely that opposition wingers will be fast because that's the nature of wingers.

Hoping JJK signs in time for Derby although I'd rather Dunne but I suspect that will be a tough deal to conclude.

We need a RB not least because the current early season back up is unable to stay fit, and the player brought in to play RB simply to any able to play there.
The other player able to play there is Shackleton, and sadly despite a promising pre season he’s also barely been worth the wages paid due to persistant injury.

All of a sudden the £5m we got for Bogle is looking to be bad business.

Hertha Berlin are currently mid table sat in 11th place, so have a lot to do if they hope to be promoted.

The Hertha Berlin v Hamburg league match is tonight with a 7.30pm kick off

Apparently it's being shown live on Sky Sports YouTube channel, what ever that is.
I still expect him to join us, suspect its Hertha Berlin trying to squeeze a bit more money out of us.

Yeah, I think it's just negotiating tactics. They need money, and their chances to get promoted this year are slim at best.

Just sign him on a pre contract and then offer 1/2 a mil to takeover his contract

I like him, very Seriki-esque, but loses the ball a lot and seems to get caught out in an attacking position too often
