GLTTL. Deserves a decent chance and Hull are a decent club.

Jeez I’d not want him back. He was on his way down when he got injured and such a long lay off i think we did well for him to move onIf we were considering going to 3 at the back then maybe there's a slimcase to get Egan back but he's never been comfortable in a 2 and he's barely played for 18 months. No thanks.
NoIf we had kept him as backup would we be promoted?
Says it all the Burnley had him and worrall on the bench who both would have got significant game time for us.If we had kept him as backup would we be promoted?
I don't think Egan would've had that much game time. As much as he'd served us well, he was poor last season and had been on a downward trajectory before that.Says it all the Burnley had him and worrall on the bench who both would have got significant game time for us.
Don’t disagree with that tbf. Worrall though we were after for a while yet Burnley got him for their bench. Cheers prince.I don't think Egan would've had that much game time. As much as he'd served us well, he was poor last season and had been on a downward trajectory before that.
The fact that he ended up at Hull this season, tells us more about his level now
Yeah can't disagree on Worrall, strange that he went there when he'd have had more game time with us, but the club was also in a very tough place last summer and that may have also played a part in his decision as well.Don’t disagree with that tbf. No, sadly his best days are behind himIf we had kept him as backup would we be promoted?
It says they've had 2 really good central defenders who have managed to stay injury free all seasonSays it all the Burnley had him and worrall on the bench who both would have got significant game time for us.
Good post - I agree , excellent achievement by CW and his staff - proper managementYeah can't disagree on Worrall, strange that he went there when he'd have had more game time with us, but the club was also in a very tough place last summer and that may have also played a part in his decision as well.
Not excuses but the reality was that we had people working to keep the club running, dealing with the take over, as well as recruiting for the new season. There were a few things that were touch and go. So all in all, it makes this season even more remarkable that we gained so many points despite all these factors and I only heard part of the story, so i am sure it was no fun for the few that were working behind the scenes, like Wilder, his team and Bettis. None of them knowing what the future would look like.
Do however quite like the niche stat of Egan potentially being involved in a promotion winning squad and a relegated squad in the same league in the same seasoni was thinking about john egan & hecky. 1 of them looks like their getting relegated tomorrow. which would be sad
