Don't know a whole lot about him but he made two first team appearances in the FA cup and Europe league for Man U last season so he must have some thing, he's a left back I think so does that mean Hussey is being totally blocked out of the team or Lafferty loan being terminated if he signs?

Plays as a full back for man ure, apparently would be a good move for the player but man u looking to loan him out to find out what his best position is. Good little player tho apparently

Just did a bit of research, he plays both LB and RB, he is right footed but has a strong weak foot and Man U fans say he is a very promising player, can also play as a winger so would fit perfectly in the wing back position, maybe back up for Freeman, Mourinho very keen on letting him out on loan to us and we are showing very strong interest so looks close to being a deal.

"Oh, I dont really know!"

Riley was a member of the victorious 2013 Milk Cup squad. Described as “extremely tenacious and does not know the meaning of the word defeat”, the Blackpool born midfielder made 16 appearances for the U18s in the 2013/14 season, and scored 2 goals and made 3 assists.

Think this is more realistically our versatile winger and looks like a proper footballer.

Before we get too carried away - none of you who have posted about this so far have ever heard of him before - have you? Be honest. So before you all start piling in with opinions about how good he is or supposed to be, let's just hold it there a moment and admit that none of us have the foggiest idea about him. A mate of mine is a Man U season ticket holder and he tells me that most Man U fans wouldn't have a clue about him either, because he's just not getting any games.

As for his position - I don't think it matters too much whether he's left or right - but what does matter is where we would intend to play him. I do not think for one moment that we are signing him to play as a defender. The position we most need to fill is that of a winger and this lad used to be one apparently. So I think the plan here is to play him as a winger - if indeed we sign him.

Oh and that YouTube video is just about the worst advert I've ever seen for a player. Normally we get these YouTube videos of someone doing something special. Remember the lovely one about John Cofie and the one about Flo Cuvelier? They both looked fantastic on YouTube. This guy looks distinctly ordinary - so that's a really positive sign maybe?

If only his name sounded more foreign like Jose Rilinio then I'd take to him straight away

Anyone tried him on Champ Manager?

Scored a reyt goal against us last season for Bury at the Lane, from right back.

I'd sign him on the merits of the first paragraph above alone. A perfect Wilder type.
GERRIMIN. GERRIMINOW. Don't know what came over me there.:(

Most right-footed left-back ever!

As Wilder is even reluctant to play a right footer as a left sided centre half I doubt he sees Riley as a left back, if he is interested at all.

His versatility is a plus though. We don't have too many wide options, and Riley has played on both wings, both full backs and in central midfield, so as a squad player he could be useful, covering more positions than Reece Brown.

Different guy. I assumed it'd be him too. Glad it isn't, not sure the Bury RB is good enough for us.
He plays for Shrewsbury now. Used to rate him to be honest
