Job 1 for David Weir is to drop Doyle.
Doyle may revert to the player he was the previous season under new tactics and a motivational manager.

Job 1 for David Weir is to drop Doyle as Club Captain and get his own player in / or give it to someone who deserves it and you will know will give 110% to the club.
Job 2 ...
Wait... I agree with Jacko.
Someone kick me in the knackers, I must be dreaming.
and if in his judgement,Doyle remains club captain and starts ?
Who'd of thought it?
I suspect DW [easing into initials already!], having been fit enough to play at a high level into his 40s, will be aghast at some of our lads' condition. Intensive training beckons for some, I think, not least our Underachiever of the Year, K-Mac. I would expect DW to require a great deal more of him than DW was prepared to tolerate.
DW.

Surely job 1 is to appoint his assistant,
job 2 various discipline coaches,
job 3 post "new job on Facebook"
Job 4 get fitness assessments done
Job 5 get car washed
.

.
Job 644 appoint captain
I wouldn't think he'll know much about us so he needs to see the players train, play and interact then appoint his captain.
I'm not sure it'll stretch to car washing either!I'm not sure the strained budget will stretch to discipline coaches. Do you think they would improve our performance?

"My first aim is, obviously, to get this club back into the Championship as soon as possible, but looking ahead I want to build something real special at Bramall Lane and give this wonderful club some sustainability, with plenty of excitement along the way." Sounds good to me.
Is Who'd've acceptable?![]()
Then please accept my humble apologies for pulling you up over it. I guess I should of known better.
Just about, Yes. It's not elegant but it uses the correct words, has a discernable meaning and doesn't purport to turn a preposition into a verb.
