Few rumours amongst qpr fans that we’re gonna put another bid in

Be surprised if we haven't already. Expect us to get him if he is our No 1 target as he is easily affordable.
Yep, I would imagine the 'dance'as Wilder referred to it as, will end tomorrow afternoon. They know we have money and are desperate for a CB this window.
I think they have resigned themselves to losing Dunne but just want to squeeze some more money out of the deal, which is fair enough. We would do the same in their position.
If rumours are to believed and we have offered £2M and they want £3m then I think the fee (undisclosed!) will end up being about £2.2M with a few add ons (maybe £400K if we go up).
Expecting it to be agreed tomorrow afternoon, medical 6pm ish and announced about 10pm.

I reckon announced around 9.45pm

It' like our whole season will be wrecked because wilder is living the last three days of the transfer window based on advice from Elton John, The Commadores and the Boomtown Rats. This is why he'll never be managing at the top table.😢😡
Bollox Felt By Nurse is my favourite Commadores song. I have no idea how Lionel Ritchie reaches those high notes at the end.

If it’s true that we’re still in for Dunne and Tanganga we’re behaving really sensibly here continuing to negotiate with both clubs and players before pulling the trigger one whichever become available or which one we want most if both become available rather than just zeroing in on one target.

It’ll never catch on this conducting transfer business sensibly lark.

Or we're very aware that we have one CB contracted past this summer and so we're actually chasing both.

On sky that Dunne won't leave until they have a replacement. Wonder if there is a chance we sign Dunne and Tanganga with Gilchrist going to QPR. Probably not but strange things happen on deadline day

Wouldn’t the obvious thing be to have a chat with QPR and Chelsea so Gilchrist can go there on loan as a replacement for Dunne?

Still would leave us with only 3 players capable of playing CB, doesn’t give us enough depth.

Latest news seems like we’ve given up on dunne now anyway

Dunne and Holding.
Not sure why everyone is saying we have given up on Dunne. From what I have read we have increased our bid.
If QPR need a replacement it might drag on until the last minute though, which is far from ideal. But it depends what agreements are in place, none of know that.

Off QPR forum. Suggests our initial bid was only £400k with add ons taking it up to £2 mill. Reported we've increased it since but consistent with what was said about the JJK offer( £660k with another £600k in add ons) we seem to be offering considerably less up front than is being suggested. DH in his latest bulletin refers to a " deal worth up to £2 million being turned down"

"Not itk by any stretch, but was talking to a local journalist at the Millwall game about Jimmy's situation. Just sharing what I was told, as plenty of us want to know what has/hasn't been offered in terms of a contract.

Was confidently told that the Sheffield United offer that came in at the end of last week was £400k up front, rising to just under £2mil depending on appearances, promotion, etc."

If we end up with someone like Holding on loan due to being too cheap to pay a relatively modest fee for Dunne, after spending 10m on Cannon, I will be extremely disappointed. That wouldn't add up. Still think we'll get this done
I would like two CBs. Agree that spending loads on an out and out striker without sorting CB would be... a bit wild. Hence I do think we'll get at least one of these lads in today, probably Holding + Dunne, is my guess.

Just googled him, he's 29 and played 98 games for Arsenal...let that sink in...nobody who is no good plays that many times for Arsenal.

In the meantime Dunne who is 27 last 5 clubs are Accrington Stanley, Hearts, Sunderland, Fleetwood and QPR.

Why exactly are we convinced Dunne is better ????

Well Wilder did learn a hard lesson in the pursuit of a sole player/position with Brewster

Because Holding would need weeks to get up to speed and in any case isn't the mould of CB we most need

I get Calum Chambers vibes with him. Should be good at this level but for some reason is shot

Holding is rustier than Swilsborough.

Because some of us need to show that our management team don't know what they're doing.
To start with we had determined that Dunne wasn't even a central defender.
