Aubameyang and Lacazzette are class, and any team in the league would take them in a heartbeat. Pepe has potential and perhaps could be in the same boat soon. A great keeper in Leno too.

Otherwise, nah. And don't anyone suggest Ozil. Personally I have always felt he was over rated. He can unlock a defence, but he is a lazy sod, and has rarely ever played 90 minutes. It was the same at Real.

The first goal was, for me, a shocking illustration of just how spineless this Arsenal team are. No attempt was made to tackle the guy who made the run into the box...and when De Bruyne took his shot, the Arsenal fullback DUCKED to get his head out of the way! Can you imagine any of our squad doing that?

I find it so refreshing to see our lot getting the plaudits, whilst the perennial big clubs like Arsenal, have their fans crying in their pie and mash, Man City, fans perhaps realising that having loads of money doesn't always result in success and that Man U fans can actually go back to watching a team resembling an bunch of average Joes

It's the 'big foreign' names that make the PL the saleable product it is. The WilderKnill product is embarrassing that product with unfashionable players and an unfashionable club. At the moment it is seen as sweet, if it continues I will be interested to see how that is viewed.
I think that's why Crooks calls our football simple. We have no foreign names and we work really hard. Had Barcelona scored both our goals on Sat, especially the second, would any have called that simple? No, utter bollocks. What Crook means by simple is, he doesn't understand how it is happening. I have been supporting Crooks up to now but he really is starting to show himself up as a bit of a plopcarpet.

We’re not the only club that works hard and have got a good team spirit and unity of purpose. Klopp and Guardiola have created something similar, Poch did at Spurs until it fell apart and Rodgers is creating something at Leicester, as is Nuno at Wolves. It’s always been the case that a good team is good players working hard for each other.

Part of the appeal of the PL is the difference between clubs, having to deal with different approaches and different styles and the greater unpredictability of it. We’re just adding to it, in a good way. The PL doesn’t need all of its big clubs to be successful, ultimately you’ve still got one of the biggest and most glamorous clubs topping the league, all four champions league clubs in the knockout stages, three of the best managers in the world. It’s pretty healthy.

Are we talking about domestic or international reach?

Because the international audience is only interested in the team it supports and that is overwhelmingly Manchester United, Liverpool or Arsenal.

Outside the biggest six, the rest of us are interchangeable cannon fodder.

Leon Osman said the same on final score. He was basically alluding to the fact that we do the basics right, which in fairness we do and Wilder would accept no less.

I don’t mind that point of view because in essence its right and it’s what allows us to play the way we do. What is frustrating is that they completely dismiss the intricacies in our play that allow us to play in the way we do. A lot of pundits now seem to be understanding the way we play more the more they see us. However Osman and Crooks clearly don’t understand our tactics at all. I think it shows how bad they both are as pundits.

Yes we do the simple things right but there’s a hell of a lot more that goes into our play than that. I think it’s an insult to Wilder and Knill that they have failed to recognise that.

Sorry, I didn’t realise you knew them all. I suspect the international audience is quite similar to the UK audience, with some fans only interested in their team and others who’ll watch other games. I suspect they also have some concept of loyalty and will keep watching their team when they’re losing.

I’d be interested to know how Leicester’s overseas profile has grown since they won the league.

Bottom line is, I don’t think our success will be detrimental to the league. Whilst the domestic TV rights have plateaued, the overseas deals are still increasing.

I think the point they’re trying to get across is that some teams aren’t doing the basics, like Arsenal. They don’t work, they don’t play for each other, they don’t take responsibility and they don’t defend properly. We do, that’s what gives us a platform to perform.

Signed on a free from Brazillian club called Ituano (I'd never heard of them either). Seems a lot of clubs were in for him in Europe and the poor bugger picked Arsenal! To say their entire team is trash is untrue tbh, they do have some world class players in Aubamyang, Lacazette etc. It's their defence which is a shambles. Season after season they've just invested in attack and then used the spare change to buy shite like Luiz. Their transfer policy is baffling to say the least.

Apart from having 'big' fashionable teams and ragamuffin tearaways like the Blades, the viewing agenda overseas can also be complicated by local politics.

Yesterday's big game between Citeh and Arsenal was dropped by the Chinese state broadcaster, because Ozil made comments in support of the Chinese Uighur muslims that didn't go down well. Nowt like a bit of state censorship to add to any footballing rivalries.
