We've just sold another of our crown jewels for £24 million, on the premise that we couldn't buy until we sold. It now seems we are shopping in the clearance aisle (Guardioura), so what makes you think the Prince will give Slav the £10 million should we get that? We've had 2 years premier league money, a £45 million parachute payment, and £24 million for Ramsdale, and we seemingly still don't have a pot to piss in. Something not right for me.
Went up with the fourth lowest wage bill in the Championship. Many players received new contracts the following season but we still had the lowest wage bill in the top flight, arguably still lower than some Championship clubs. On being relegated players all had pay cuts inserted in their contracts, so we can't blame the wage bill for the disappearing money either. It's not like we were paying out win bonuses and goal bonuses either! We saved a fortune on those.

He looks the part to be honest

physically he has all the attributes to make it at the top. See DCL - and I never though he would amount to owt but he ‘looked like a top level’ player attributes wise

Same with jebbo but he actually looks threatening. Hope we keep hold and give him a chance.

Not good enough to get on the bench despite having a bunch of strikers who can't hit a cows arse with a banjo. But good enough for a number of premiership sides to buy.

I realise they could develop him at their own speed and are buying potential...and I know, I know the manager sees him training every day but he must be worth a chance....even if only in a cup game.

Oh and if Everton come in for him he's 30m plus add ons to compensate us for them having our pants down on DCL !
When he moved DCL was a slim decent striker well short of Premiership standard.
We got a decent price for him to enable us to build a side to get out of L1 and beyond.
Everton spent time coaching him into what he is now.

Could be the next DCL. Could be the next Slew.

Most blades shrugged when we sold DCL and were gutted we cashed in on Slew..

This ^^^^

We’ve a lot of money tied up in Saturday’s front two, so it’s natural to give them a run. I’d prefer to loan out Burke and keep Jebbison, but a season of regular football for him could make him very valuable indeed. At the moment he’s just promise.

We don’t know where we are shopping cos we’ve bought no one yet !
everyone is having a cow and posting crap with no clue what is happening at the club , wait till the window shuts then if nowts happened we can have a good old whinge then !

Of the basis brewster cost £23m😂 it’s clearly an exaggeration but the point is why on earth are we willing to sell the bright youngster who clearly has an abundance of talent before the other shit. I’ll be honest, i think most of us would accept £500k for burke

You do know Brewster won the u18 World Cup smashed it up for Swansea in half a season and was regarded as one of the best young English players before we signed him

Jebbison has scored a tap in

I'm all for slagging the recruitment off and the shambolic approach to this season but I don't see why people are angry about us turning a bid down here
Very much this.

If he's half as good as most fans seem to think he is then it's no surprise Premier League clubs are circling.

If we take media speculation as fact, we've shown with Ramsdale, Berge and Baldock that we aren't selling on the cheap.

United reject bid "instantly"

Everton are supposed to be coming back in with a bid

Nobody knows what we value him at

The majority of our fans don't actually knows how good he is

Big online rage

There's so many things to be angry about with United . This right now isn't one of them.

I warned you all about DCL, Ramsdale and the English Pique - no hindsight required. I'll warn you now about Jebbison although, thankfully, most people have already got the memo. 5 million will look like chicken feed...
Put 25 million plus add ons on in his head. If they want him make them pay, now. If we can't refuse bids now with a guaranteed minimum of 119 million coming into the club there is something very wrong. I would rather see Burke, Sharp, Mcgoldrick, Mcburnie and Moose leave. Brewster we have to persist with because we have him contracted to 2015 and need to recoup some value.

Play him, increase his value and offload if we need funds next year. It’s only what the prince is doing with Coulibaly, we could have easily pocketed £10-12m but in a years time on the trajectory he‘s on suddenly he’s worth £20m.

A player that’s made no appearances and scored no goals is difficult to sell for top dollar if he plays and scores 10 he’s arguably worth £20 million, because we all know theirs precedent.

There was a typo in all the contracts. They all got a relegation bonus.

We got 16 million less than the asking price for Ramsdale (plus add ons).

You do realise that he is the ninth most expensive goalkeeper in the history of football? Not a bad deal for someone who threw it in his own net metaphorically speaking, for the first half of his only season here

Yes, but that's not the point being discussed. We had a number and we lowered it significantly. Berge has one, 32.5 million, will we lower that?
24 million is good value for an English keeper with Ramsdale's pedigree. If he replicates his last six months at United this season he's worth three times that.

All true but Jebbison showed more movement in the right areas to look threatening and that he might actually get on the end of something than all our strikers put together. I really like him. Brewster must have something but he’s hardly shown any attributes to me.

3x that makes him the most expensive keeper ever including add-ons, you're having yourself on. His value will never be higher than it was when we sold him, unless he dramatically improves his consistency and cuts them bomb scare moments out he won't play for Arse regularly or England at all

Anyone thinking we will get anything like what we paid for Brewster will be disappointed I feel. Brewster had won the golden boot at the U17 World Cup, had 10 England U21 caps and scored 10 in 20 games at Swansea.

Jebbison meanwhile has played 3 professional games.

There has never been a top English keeper in this era of fees. If he reaches that level add the English tax on any number you're referencing.

That's why you don't sell at this point. You sell players at the right time.

Apologies if mentioned already but apparently we want a £1m loan fee for Jebbo. This seems a bit much to me. Especially if we care about his development. We should accommodate whom ever will offer him the best experience. . . I’d rather that be us to be honest. Not an out and out starter, but giving him first team experience and see how he goes.

Anyone with a brain can see that’s what happened , anyone that can’t see it has an agenda !

People said the same when the English Pique left. Not fast enough for the Championship either 😂🤣. We saw who had the agendas;)

I agree. The problem is we haven't managed to get him out on loan yet. It's stuff like this people should be angry about. Why is he still here if we aren't going to use him and clubs want him?

Bit suspicious how as soon as he rejects beerschot a £1m loan fee gets put on his head isn’t it

Why is it ?
We paid a fortune to Man U to give hendo experience but if it’s us doing the loaning we have to give our players up cheap ?

So isn’t this the time to sell ?
Remember Slew ?

I you think he's reached his peak valuation by all means. If you think he hasn't, absolutely not. I'm of the latter opinion. There's many other players that I'd let go mind you.

Can you not put two and two together. We paid a £500k loan fee for ben davies from liverpool. Us a club in the championship with parachute payments and about to sell a player for £24m paid £500k for a player from liverpool. We are charging a league 1 team £1m to take an unproven youngster on loan. Can you not see how stupid and corrupt this is
