I don't see him fitting our system like Robinson.

He can't play for both either way. You would of thought West Ham might have learnt something over the years![]()
Ditto, I think we’d of signed him by now if we played Wingers. Wilder definitely rates him.
Nah we’ve not signed him yet, but we probably could of if we wanted too.Sorry...
But it's have. Fucking HAVE !!!
Nope. It's deffo West Ham not West HaveSorry...

Don’t see him as a Wolves type signing unless it’s cover for Traore on the right wing. Could see him doing Lunny role if he’s getting big booted but increased interest in Jonny foreign market suggests to me CWAK are developing their outlook possibly influenced by HRH and RIP Van Winkel.Agree
Would like him here at the Lane
Think he would be a success in the PL and his value would rocket
However, we probably can’t afford him. VIlla could go down, but Wolves would blow us out the water. I haven’t a clue as to what our Jan budget is, but suspect it won’t be a great deal. If CW is chasing Woolfenden then that that might clear £4m - £5m off the budget, so can’t see there being too much left after that and an overseas loan or two
15 million for a player that can leave for free in the summer. Highly doubtful.
Hull have an option for another year.15 million for a player that can leave for free in the summer. Highly doubtful.
Ahh makes sense! Though they've offered him another contract right? Sure I read somewhere they've offered him a new deal last year but he's yet to sign.Hull have an option for another year.
They will be trying to tie him down before he hits the 12 month mark. His price with 12 months left could be half what it could be if he has 3 or 4 years left.Ahh makes sense! £15 million plus add ons should get him with him only having another year after this and no chance of him signing a new contract.
I just don't see us spending big in the JTW unfortunately.
It's easy to spend someone else's money but i'd be going all out if he's available as I really rate him and see him as perfect as Didzy's long term replacement with the added benefit of more goals and I think we'll regret missing out when someone else signs him and he thrives.
Bowen can play through the middle, he could easily do the Didzy role.Wilders said he’s focusing on defence and midfielder. Bowen doesn’t play anywhere in our system. He’s a wide player who cuts inside and scores.
There’s zero chance of this.
Hmmm.....what to say about this.
Firstly, I don’t see us stumping up £15m for anyone in January
Secondly, Bowen is a good player, can put the ball in the net but I worry he will struggle with the step up much the same as Robinson has.
Finally, I’m aware of some concerns about the character of the lad, he’s from round my way and there are “one or two issues with his personality” shall we say! The kind of thing that is likely to come out at some point and would be fairly damaging to his reputation.
Before anyone asks, I can’t say what it is as it is likely undergoing investigation.
I thought the same, but hull have a one year additional option.£15 million now??? Really??!!??
Isn't Bowen available on a free this summer??? By all means offer £6, or even £7 million now if it's felt necessary, but £15 million with only 6 months left on his contract? I know we live in a competitive market place, and certain players, often those who attack, are handed a premium price tag, but the fact that Bowen will be freely available in the summer suggests a buying club would be in the driving seat where this is concerned.

Maximum I'd go personally is 10 million, he's a great player. But he doesn't play in a natural position that we use. Primarily a winger that cuts inside. We don't use wingers. In which case, you either stump up the full whack or tell 'em to go bollocks

I'd be pleasantly surprised if we were in for him. Much rather we went for players further down the pitch before we look at another striker. (Unless someone (sharp) leaves then I'd like us to get cover. Unfortunately, I can't see Bowen being that cover. At the moment it's all speculation, and I haven't seen a clue as to Wilder's interest in the player. If there is an interest from United then Wilder may be thinking about subtle changes to the way we play, or sees something in the player that he feels can fit within our current style. Best not to hold your breath in the meantime.
Ha....good point. I’m just hoping McBurnie grows up whereas JB is something he’s unlikely to grow out of.H can pal up with McBurnie then
Sorry...
But it's have. Fucking HAVE !!!
Should that be 'Hull of' an option?Hull have an option for another year.
JB ? Is this what he's been up to ? Fecking Nonce. Wouldnt want him anywhere United if thats the case. UTBHa....good point. I’m just hoping McBurnie grows up whereas JB is something he’s unlikely to grow out of.

When you’re a good player and can put the ball in the onion bag from literally nothing then you can find a place or coach another role into them, fortunately I think Bowen is good enough to play anywhere in the final third of the pitch anyway so I don’t think it will be hard to fit him in.McGoldrick's role is far from straightforward. I haven't seen anything in Bowen which suggests he has the footballing intelligence to come deep & play in between the lines. I don't think he has anything like the touch, or spatial awareness that McGoldrick has, nor the vision & passing ability.
He is a very good player though, a cracking dribbler & finisher & he will be a great fit for a team that plays with a 4-3-3, but I really don't see him fitting into our system.
