Fair point but as he can't last 90 minutes he's a liability, even when fit. If we go down there's no point carrying such a liability because there's no indication this will ever improve.

I love the way fans say "get rid of.......(x and y)" as if it was that easy. As if these players are the club's possessions, effectively slaves. We hear the same when transfer fees are talked about, when transfer fees are usually the smaller proportion of what a player actually costs.

Unwanted players are notoriously difficult to move on when they've got well-paid contracts. Alexis Sanchez may well be a shining example of this, but why do I even need to mention that when we mysteriously offered an extra year to Rodwell?

Hopefully they will have clauses in their contracts to reduce the wages in the event of relegation. Reward for success, penalise for failure

More likely they've got release clauses in their contracts in the event of relegation.
