I have to say I don’t know if Shackleton is injury prone or not but I do view an impact injury differently to soft muscle ones. The former can happen anytime to anyone the latter more worrying and avoidable. So those slagging the club and lad off are a bit out of order on this occasion in my opinion.

I know a lot of people don't want to see more "osborns" as in work hard, prioritise the team, not first name on team sheet etc but we need players like that and he appears to have something about him

Just bad luck. Similar to how Brentford's new record signing (to likely replace Toney) is feared to be out for months after being injured in his debut vs. Wimbledon in a friendly.

I feel for this lad, came into the squad looking for regular football, Wilder as sold him the dream and he looked good, and a nothing tackle looks to have stopped it all before it got started.

I saw he had tears in is eyes and that shows he cares and going back to a Wilder tactic of only having those here who want to be here and play for us.

Hopefully not a season out and hopefully can get back when we need numbers as it will be a long hard season as always in the Championship
