I agree with you on the money.I was being a knobhead! I'm just frustrated like the rest of us. It doesn't seem to matter how well we are doing, or how crap we are doing, the board seem to dish out the same budget. Very little. We must have one of the smallest budgets in the championship. Near 30 thousand crowds, surely they can give wilder 5 mill or something to get a 2 or 3 decent players!

It's certainly silly season as always but just one thing, if a player rumoured to be interesting us signs for someone else, that doesn't automatically mean we didn't enquire about them.

Wilder was indeed after the player, or he was a dishonest party to a deceitful sham, as the daft conspiracy theorists, who like to belittle the club they claim to support, would claim. I do hope you are not one of those?

I for one believe it was a genuine bid from Wilder, albeit audacious. Not a sham, but perhaps a throw of the dice. However, look at it from Wolves perspective, or a relative scenario for us: Wigan, currently top of League one and looking good for a return to the division, duly get promoted and during the summer 2018 make a bid of around 1-2m for Jack O'Connell. Is this transfer likely to happen? One of our best CBs from a potential premiership chasing side to a newly promoted club? The most reasonable answer is no.

That, I believe, is what Matthew is referring to with his comment.
