I think to be honest Wilson covered more ground and put him self about more than Clarke doesn't mean he played well but at least he covered the ground and tried. Clarke has been totally put of form since signing a new contract I can't see why he still seems to be the first name on the team sheet. Sharp and Duffy haven't when had a look in makes me wonder why not watching this we dropped billy because of bad form so why can't we drop Clarke.
 
I think Wilson needs feeding, he can't hold it up. He didn't even have scraps to feed off all game - the same reason billy got pushed out the first team
 
Our strikers are getting almost nothing created for them and are often subject to long punts when neither is good in the air (and Wilson is beyond shocking in the air)

I'd play 1 upfront and Holmes/Duffy behind and see what that does. The one will have to be Wilson though I'd guess as I assume we have to play him.
 
When he stated he sees his future at UTD, I didn’t realise he meant Southend !

Puzzling signing on so many levels. Isn’t very good but thinks he is mustard, which I find surprising for a Chris Wilder signing.

If Wilson thinks he's going to be pushing for a start at man u next season he needs sectioning. On the showings so far he's a million miles away from an average championship player let alone premiership.
 
We have needed a player of quality and pace up front all season, one who can score from nothing. We needed this one player of class from day one of the season.
 
I haven't been too impressed so far but it's too early to judge any of the new signings.
 
How long can we keep playing him, did less than nothing today sorry for the young boy but come back when you have a few games under your belt. CW sees something but I don’t know what it is?
 



We didn't get the ball into our strikers anywhere near enough again. Partly movement, partly not playing through the middle enough again, and partly Wolves being very good without the ball. Wilson, though, should've won a corner in the first half when he crossed it but for a bad call from the ref, had one shot blocked, and the other time found space and made what might have been our only shot on target. He nearly scored a spectacular one vs Villa.

No idea why he'd be picked out for criticism based on his performances so far. There's only one player who should be getting any real stick today and that's Moore. And even he should be forgiven when tempers fade after this evening because it's so uncharacteristic of him.

We got outclassed today. Pure and simple. Deal with it.
 
Our strikers are our biggest weakness. Odd thing to say given the goals both Clarke and Sharp scored early on, but I don't think any of them are good enough to create something from nothing. They all rely on chances being created for them. At the moment we're not doing that and we just don't look like scoring.
 
Im not sure the criticism for Wilson is deserved, it's no coincidence him and Clarke haven't looked great past few games, when we create absolutely nothing going forward what are we supposed to do? We could have had Lewandowksi up front tonight and he'd have done nothing. If we start creating chances again I can see him getting a few goals but we look really poor going forward at the minute. Stevens has been very poor with his forward contribution recently, Basham is not good enough imo, and I'm gonna stick my neck out for this but Fleck hasn't looked up for it last couple of games either.
 
There probably isn't a problem with Wilson's ability - but all we are doing is getting him match fit at present.

How many games is it going to take for him to pick up the pace of this division.

The normal way is to give these players the last 20/25 minutes and see how they go - think CW has got this the wrong way round, especially with Clarke misfiring at present.

Fleck jut needs to get the booking out of the way take the two match suspension and get back to putting in the tackles.
 
I was thinking post villa & im not quite sold on him yet. I see the potential but he can be hit & miss
 
He hasn’t impressed so far but in fairness neither has Leon in the last few weeks.

He isn’t a lump it up to him to hold it up forward. Not sure what kind of forward he is so far but we don’t seem to be playing to his “strengths”
 
Needs more time...far to early to write the kid off,he's shown a few glimpses.
All the new lads are still bedding in...the service wasn't there tonight to be fair to the front lads.
 
Hate to say it but I think wilder is being blinded by the Manchester United connection... if we had signed the exact same player from Rotherham he wouldn't be in the squad let alone in the first team

Spent money on the academy instead.

We have needed a No9 the scares the opposition to death all season.

Nowt personnel Leon, tha's done well but your not that man.
