Spooky faces in Ben’s kneecaps

TWO ghostly faces formed in a Doncaster man’s knees have become a family joke.
Dad John Martin first spotted the two ‘faces’ apparently staring out of his 20-year-old son Ben’s kneecaps as they both sat watching the television at the family home at Catterick Close, Denaby.
Ben Martins knees .... has face like images in his knees .
He says his first reaction to the discovery, after noticing it for the first time, was to howl with laughter.
Wife Joanne and younger children Kristian, aged 12, and Harrison, 10, then also took a peek - and agreed they too could see the faces.
The believe the dimples on Ben’s knees look like an old fashioned picture of a bearded Chinese man.
John said: “As a family, we’re big fans of the weird and wonderful, and we’ve enjoyed Robert Ripley’s Believe It or Not Stories for years.
“I never dreamed one of us would turn up with faces on our body parts - but you can’t deny Ben’s dimples do look like faces.
“We’re a very close family but I have to say there’s been nothing I would call strange in the past.”
Ben, who works at a juice bar in Doncaster, says he can see the funny side - and has even decided to give names to the faces on his knees.
The image on the right knee now goes by the name of Casper, while his left knee has been dubbed Fu Manchu.
He believes his keep fit activities may have brought the images out.
He said: “I’ve always noticed I had odd knees, but I have been weight training for a year. It may be that, with body definition, the faces become more prominent.
“Maybe I’m ready to join the ranks of the Caterpillar Man, or the completely hairy family from the Ripley book!”
